What are the 2 areas of your life that cause you the most consistent worry, concern & pain?
Generally speaking, it’s 💰MONEY💰 and 💃🏽BODY💃🏽 ... why??? Because they are the 2 areas of your life that you can just leave and go somewhere else to distract yourself. Whereas with family, friends, work, sport, hobbies etc ... we can generally get space from if there not working to focus on other things.
Think about it, you take your body with you everywhere and almost everything we do involves money in some way. So we are constantly reminded of what we believe is missing or wrong.

So don’t feel alone if you have negative feelings towards your health, way you look, bank balance or financial concerns.
What I found worked for me was just starting to realise & acknowledge the negative things I was telling myself and asking these 3 questions when I noticed negativity:
1️⃣ “is this true?” 2️⃣ “is this helping me get to where I want to be”
3️⃣ “what can I learn from this”

This simple fact of just noticing your thoughts is so powerful because then you have the ability to change them.
Go easy on yourself, negative thoughts aren’t helping you or anyone else... Make peace with where you are, love yourself & learn the lesson form this hardship so you can move forward positively.

Change is about consistent progress ... so don't give up on yourself ... you are with investing in!!
(P.s, this photo was taken after 4 days of Dahl, curries & jet lag bloating ... so definitely not feeling awesome but knowing it’s temporary)

What do you feed your brain?⠀
Did you know we have about 60,000 thoughts a day? ⠀
To make things super simple, if more than half of those thoughts are negative, guess how you will feel? #crap
Vice versa, if more than half of those thoughts are positive and optimistic, then VOILA, you will feel good.⠀ You have the power to change your thoughts, feeling and beliefs. So feed your mind healthful, nourishing “food,” and it will grow strong and uplifting. However, if you restrict it to a regular diet of mental “junk food,” your mind will become unhealthy, negative, and unproductive. ⠀

Your mind will return to you what you put into it. ⠀
Feed your mind a balanced, nourishing diet. ⠀
Study information from a variety of fields, do things that make you feel good and limit the intake of gossip, comparison and hurtful information on the news. This way you give yourself the best possible chance of success and longterm fulfilment.⠀ My 15 Step Magical Mentoring Program is launching in a month with more great insights like this.

I subscribe to Napoleon Hill's "Thought of the day" as I love reading the short, uplifting, wise messages everyday.⠀⠀
Today's one has really hit home.⠀⠀
There is so much discussion about "Life after Sport" and what needs to be done or put in place to help athletes when they retire. There have also been some incredible sad stories of former pro-athletes taking their life, living with depression or just never really being fulfilled like they used to.⠀⠀
This message below, I feel, plays a small but meaningful part in the importance of having or forming another goal after sport ends. This is because the best athletes in this world are the ones who have a very clear goal and are relentless in their pursuit of performance perfection. ⠀⠀
For myself, forming new goals after swimming was VITAL to the positive mindset I have built. ⠀⠀
It's definitely not easy, and took years to stop comparing my past with my present, but it has helped me significantly lower this feeling of "inspirational dissatisfaction" outlined below.
I hope the below passage inspires you to set new goals and to continue living with meaning and joy:⠀⠀
"We are happiest when we are striving to achieve a goal. When we achieve one goal, it’s a natural human tendency to set another, usually bigger, one. W. Clement Stone calls it inspirational dissatisfaction — the letdown one experiences after a goal has been achieved and before the next step toward a new one has been taken. When you begin to experience that nagging feeling, it’s time to get into action! Make sure you have a long-range plan in place so that when one short-term goal has been achieved, there is a natural progression toward the next. "⠀⠀

Reminiscing on these unforgettable memories after a crappy day!! Today’s upsets and last nights inspiring talk has made me reflect on my career as an athlete.
Most people will remember the Gold Medals and achievements (like seeing my coach and the Prime Minister straight after my 1st Olympic Gold in Beijing) and think “ohh how great for you.” But what I remember is the discipline, the consistent effort, the shit sessions when you could think of a million other places you would rather be doing, but doing it anyway because you had a goal and nothing & no one was going to get it the way of that.

I loved that my sport had black & white results. If you won, you won fair and square...if you came last, there was no one to blame but yourself. That undeniable, blunt truth is what teaches you to harden up, take accountability and then be pro-active about changing it for next time.

This is what I’m most grateful for in my athletic career. Yes I love and appreciate the external successes, but at the end of the day, some other Aussie will come along at a future Olympics and do better than my 3 Gold Medals. My World Records have all been broken and the fame of being one of this countries best athletes is now seen on par to a “social influencer” (whatever the hell that is)

So take all that superficial stuff away and what’s left is your character, your integrity and your values. The traits I truly would love our society value more as I believe it would create a more loving, inclusive and harmonious world where people were positively driven to grow and improve 🌏
It was so great heading back to my old stomping ground at St Peters a few months ago. ⠀
I got to catch up with this medley superstar @jennaforrester_ and chat with her coach about her training and upcoming comps 🏊🏽‍♀️ It’s been such a joy to see how much you are progressing and all the success you have achieved thus far ... WELL DONE!⠀

Now we get to partner up with @girlshapedflames and do some fun things together.⠀

I’ll be the solo speaker at tonight’s “Feed The Beast” talk, sharing my insights on:⠀
▪️Handling set backs⠀
▫️Building self confidence ⠀
▪️The importance of Goal Setting⠀
As well as sharing my tools to succeed in whatever you choose.⠀

Heading home after a beautiful weekend away. Feeling so ready to get back into it again after really stopping these part few days.
Getting away from your standard routine and “to-do’s” does wonders for your soul, and for me, puts everything in perspective.
I know I mentioned only a few days ago (but saying it again anyway) It’s so important to take care of YOURSELF. To learn to really value your health and mental attitude and become aware of your own personal triggers so you can proactively restore your spirit.
Grinding away and pushing isn’t the way to create HOLISTIC SUCCESS. Yes it might make you wealthy, yes it might make you popular, but what’s are you sacrificing in order to achieve that? Are you sacrificing your healthy, your mental happiness, your relationships?
Know that you can create happiness, peace, love, money and freedom through taking care of yourself and filling up your own tank. If your tank is empty, what do you have to offer anyone else? When your tank is overflowing with joy, love and gratitude it creates a ripple effect to all who come in contact with you.

So grateful for the life I live, the abundant health I have, the loving relationships around me and most of all the freedom I have created within 🌟

🏖☀️ Surprise Weekend Away ☀️🏖
Rory surprised me with a beautiful weekend away now that all the hard work has been complete in the new @scienceoffitness.

It’s such a magical day too! The weather is just stunning and I can feel the summer vibes of freedom in the air.

Sooo looking forward to 2 days totally switched off from work, house cleaning & to-do lists and be able to fully relax.

I was a little over ambitions and bought 3 books with me 😂 but hey, I don’t know which one I’ll feel like.
I also am going to do a post in the next few days with my favourite books & recommendations as a few of you were asking 📚

Thank you my love for your generosity...I’m so blessed to have you in my life and looking forward to this special time together 💏

Today, social media has really got to me and made me pretty agitated.

I see girls on instagram posting, what I would call inappropriate photos, yet somehow receive so much attention.
Kudos to those girls who have made a brand, money and fame out of positioning themselves that way.
It just makes me questions what our society perceives and honours as successful, and what message that is sending to young girls.

My hope is that those young girls don’t look at that and feel as though they have to be like that in order to be “cool, accepted, popular & fit-in”
I want for young girls to know that it’s more important to love yourself and feel supported & secure from within and that you don’t need to receive this love from external gratifications like lots of likes & followers.

It is my purpose and intention here on social media, and in all that I do, to help people see that light in themselves. To share my thoughts, struggles, wisdom & advice in order to help others grow, learn and feel supported on their own journey in life.

Sending you all love & light 🌟

I'm constantly learning more & more about wellness and what foods, exercise and lifestyle choices are best for me.⠀

It's so eye-opening once you start REALLY paying attention to what ingredients go into products and carefully analysing the labels.⠀
So many products don't have to show what's ACTUALLY in the product or where it's sourced from and to me that's so wrong, because as customers we absolutely should know what we are buying and consuming.⠀

I also find some labels incredibly overwhelming and half jibberish. So it’s no wonder people get confused and disheartened as to "what is healthy.” This is why I predominantly eat a plant based diet nowadays and usually only buy packaged foods where I can read & understand what’s in it.⠀

This is why I'm so thrilled to be working with @innerorigin, alongside

@innerorigin is an online marketplace where customers can have full transparency on the items they are buying; like where is made, what’s in it, etc, giving you the confidence to make the best purchases for your health goals.⠀

I'd love to hear your thoughts and feeling on what "Truth On Label" means to you, so please share in the comments below😊 I’ll be replying all evening.⠀

“If you can’t manage your own mental attitude, what makes you think you can manage others?⠀

Before you can ever have any hope of coaching others effectively, you must first learn to set an example for others to follow. It is simply impossible for you to inspire others to high levels of achievement if you cannot inspire yourself to do the same.⠀
The first move is yours. You must first prove yourself worthy.” - Napoleon Hill⠀

This is what I have been working on for the past 3-4 years.⠀
Discovering my own strengths and weaknesses as a person, not as an athlete, then working to improve certain parts of myself to become the person I truly want to be.⠀⠀

Now, I am able to send tall, confident and self-assured, after doing the work on myself, knowing that I now have the ability to help others become the very best version of themselves too.⠀ BE - DO - HAVE

Tony Robbins says, “You can't coach someone on something you haven’t experienced and you can’t take someone somewhere you have ever been.”⠀

Work on yourself first, and the rest will fall into place.
Seek out a mentor, program or coach to help you, or find books that will inspire you continually move forward.

I so desire to travel more!!⠀
To explore the wonderful world around us, to open my eyes and mind to the creativity of the universe and to free my spirit.⠀

It’s so easy to conform to our surroundings. To develop habits, rituals & beliefs based on our environment and the people we surround ourselves with.⠀
This is what I love so much about travelling! You open you’re mind to all the differing possibilities, the way others live and their perspectives on life.⠀

Some of my greatest personal breakthroughs have come from travelling.⠀
When I finally stop, let go and free myself from the “things I have to do” and do the “things I want to do”.⠀

Why do we place so much emphasis on “the grind” ... is that really what life is about? To grind away, live a life half full, be stressed out and unhealthy? ⠀
To save money for a rainy day and not be able to fully enjoy the offerings money brings?⠀

I have finally learnt to truly value my personal development, freedom and inner happiness more than just “getting things done on my to-do list.” ⠀

Whilst both are important to me and my future growth & success, it’s ultimately about finding a harmonious balance between to two.

It’s an honour to be apart of this powerful campaign in supporting @cricketaustralia and the Australian Women’s Cricket Team ahead of the Ashes.

Australian women are incredible!
We’ve all had to beat something in our lives and breakthrough limitations, both personal and professional.

For me, I was fortunate enough to make my dreams come true and beat the world record line. So now I’m getting behind the @southernstars to #BeatEngland in the Women’s Ashes series 🏏

I understand that this topic is incredibly important and sensitive to many people.⠀
And I must pre-frame this discussion by outlining that:⠀
1. I have absolutely nothing against Gays & Lesbians, even though the media have written otherwise.⠀
2. The reasons I feel I can share my thoughts on this topic is based on my experiences publicly and the life changing lessons I learnt.⠀
3. I’m aware this post will get media attention and potentially be taken out of context, but I share these thoughts with the intention that we can all embrace this vote with love, grace and respect for all.⠀

Yesterday, at the movies, I saw an ad advocating gay rights. At the end of the add they said “do the right thing, vote YES.”⠀
It made me think, “Does that mean if you vote no your doing the wrong thing?”⠀

I personally would love nothing more than to see my many gay friends have the opportunity to get married, and my vote would be yes. This is because I wish them all the love and happiness in the world.⠀
However I do have an issue with the way that people on both sides of the vote are getting treated, bullied and abused by those that have a differing view than their own.⠀

We all create our beliefs based on our individual life experiences, environment and culture. I can understand how people that believe in specific religions would not be ok with this, as it goes against everything they believe in, which defines who they are as human beings. And vice versa, I can understand how gays believe we should all have the same opportunities and not discriminate based on sexuality. ⠀

Given this campaign is about love & equality, my hope is that we can all try to come from a place of compassion when someones beliefs & views are different from our own.⠀
I would hate to see the vote for equal love rights to be won due to bullying and withholding love for others.⠀
We are all better than that!⠀

And to all who have experienced the verbal hurt online, my heart goes out to you. Just remember that what others say about you, says more about them than it does about you.

For the past couple of months I have been struggling to find complete clarity on my career path. Continually asking, What is my purpose? What is my divine plan? What am I here for?
Whilst I have known general things about what it will involve and what things I really enjoy, the clear picture of what it looks like has been a bit of a mystery.

I found myself getting a bit agitated and anxious that it was taking so long and asking myself “what am I meant to do in the meantime” “will it always been this way” “am I not ready” “I should be working harder” “other people have it together and are more progressed than me”

The stream of negative beliefs and thoughts rose to the surface and emotionally effected me, until I realised that they were coming up for a reason ... so I could address these thoughts head on and unblock what was holding me back.

Contrast is a good thing! It’s an opportunity to move forward and change old patterns, thoughts and beliefs that no longer serve you. I guarantee if you take this perspective next time a struggle/setback comes up, it will help uplift you and ease the hurt dramatically.

I know for a fact that we all have these moments, so go easy on yourself, be kind on your soul and learn to see your life as a journey towards continually being the absolute best version of yourself #worldmentalhealthday
You can’t coach or inspire someone without experiencing those things yourself.

I now know why this “what is my purpose” questions was so tough for me ... because I so desire to help others find their purpose in like and be the best they can be, and to do that, I need to be the best I can be and LIVE ON PURPOSE

This is why I have created my mentoring program - so if you relate to this, definitely check it out in the link in my bio and see if this is something for you ... as I would be truly honoured to work with you!!!

This photo almost always brings me to tears.
This was from my first school swimming carnival and I was so proud to wear my house colours and compete. Holding my 3rd place ribbon so mum could document the moment (even if it is upside down 😂) In primary school I was incredibly shy and didn’t have many friends at all ... swimming was my safe place, my place to build confidence and inner strength. When other girls at school started recognising me and including me due to my swimming success it made me feel so good.

Before, I would reply on other people, external gratifications (like sponsorships & awards) & fame for my own reassurance & fulfilment.
Whilst it seems like athletes have it all together on the outside, sometimes it’s not the case on the inside due to these early memories and the belief system we create.

Since moving on from swimming I realise that no one else can fill me up, but me. I’m the one that needs to do the work and in turn, no one can ever take anything from me ... we all hold the power within!
This is why I believe so many athletes and high achieving individuals struggle when the shinny moment of success passes. We need to teach people to build their worth from within and I guarantee in will shine out into more success.

These past 4 years I have worked on being the best version of myself everyday and continuing to, Be The Best I Can Be. I’ve learnt life changing lessons and tools to build myself up from the inside out.
I was always curious why my path seemed so emotionally tough, but now I know for sure it’s because I needed to experience it for myself so I can be a guide, support & light worker for others. Nothing fills my soul more that contributing to other people’s lives positivity and helping them, Be The Best They Can Be.

Such a beautiful day today ... the perfect weather for a little outdoor balcony workout.
Many people ask me how much I workout nowadays and what kind of exercise I do.
Generally I workout on my balcony, where I have an 8kg kettle bell, skipping rope and 1kg ankle weights. With this very minimal amount of equipment I am able to do a variety of movements that keep me lean and toned.
The goal for me is to mix up the movements continually, so my body is always guessing & targeting a variety of muscles. This, in my opinion, is the most effective way to workout and gets the best results.

I either create my own workout routines & exercises for the day (as I know sooo many different ones from all the years of training) or follow along to some great YouTube sessions if I want to switch off and just follow along.

Typically, I workout 5 days a week for around 25mins in total. Some weeks I could workout 6 days a week, others maybe only 3, it's just depends what I have going on at the time. This is obviously very different to my Olympic protocol of 7hrs a day, 6 days a week, which has taken me time to be ok with.

Some days I do more, like 35-40mins if I go to the gym or maybe only 15mins if I'm travelling or have other things on that are a priority.
The key to lasting success with your workouts is to STAY CONSISTENT and make them WORK FOR YOU!

Don't allow other factors to continually take you away from your health and fitness goals and don't rely on will power & motivation to get you moving ... because that will always come and go.

Find something you love about the exercise you do.
Like the feeling you get when your muscles are tight and shaky, or the feeling of sweating out those toxins, or simply find a form of exercise that is fun and enjoyable for YOU. Don't just follow along to a "plan" because it's what everyone else is doing, do what SERVES YOU.

I wanted to share with you a little success story so you too can believe in the power of manifesting your desires into your life!

About this time last year I decided I needed to move. I knew I wanted an apartment that felt expansive and open, had a great view, 2 bedrooms, in a good location and at a price I can easily afford.

So I searched online and found about 5 different buildings that I liked the look of. After taking a tour of one of the buildings, and literally looking at the 24 different layouts, I discovered I really wanted 1 particular layout. The lady showed me one and I was like YEP THATS IT!!
However there were none available.
So I let my details invade one became free and stated that I would preferably like one above level 8, so there was a good view & more privacy.
I took an application just in case and filled it all out as if I was moving in. I filled in the apartment number as level 11 (for a great view and it's the angels number) and the allocated room for the layout (not saying this here as I don't want stalkers 😂) During my morning meditations I would visualise myself walking into the apartment, looking out at the view, imagining how I would lay out my furniture and get so excited in the process.

About a week went by and I looking through another 4 buildings, all with the instant feeling "NO, that's not it." So I decided only way home from viewing a different apartment I would just swing into the "dream apartment" and see if they have had anything become available as it was on the way home.

I walked in the office and told the agent that I had looked at apartments and was looking for something available with the specific layout I wanted. He looked at the sheets and said "ohh yes we have just had the one on level 11 become available a few hours ago" ... "I said, I'll take it and here's my application (pre-filled 😊)"
An extra bonus was that it came with 3 weeks free rent ✔️ It was the best feeling knowing my thoughts, desires and visualisations created that. And it's the same way I feel every time I look out at the view, knowing I'm a master manifester and that I'm truely blessed to understand the power of my mind 🔮

Today is #WorldRhinoDay and I'm honoured to support this amazing cause.

It's an absolutely gorgeous coffee book full of incredible photographs, donated by some of the world best wildlife photographers in order to help save 🦏 RHINOS 🦏

100% of the proceeds of this book go directly towards fighting poaching as thousands of Rhinos are brutally slaughtered every year for their horns & it's just disgusting to see what some people will do for money.

I hope that everyone will go to the link in my bio and purchase this book (and watch the video) and help support these Rhino's + it makes a gorgeous addition for your home.
