#AboubakarFofana began to explore the ancient technique of #indigo dying after remembering stories of the "green leaves that made blue" from childhood visits to the countryside in #Mali. | The Indigo Palettes of Aboubakar Fofana on display, and for sale, at #AtelierCourbet in #NYC. #artisan #naturaldye #wondersofafrica
Views from #Kuwait | 6am run, and by run I mean leisurely stroll, with my bro @cowunwanne. Was all fun and games, until we hit mile 4...and the sun was fully up...and it was 117 degrees...and we couldn't quench our thirst in public (illegal for non-observers during Ramadan ). Then the slow stroll, became an even slower crawl, until we finally made it home, where we gladly stayed put until sun down. #ViewsFromKuwait #Sunrise #Beach #SlowStroll #AfricanWanderer #Wanderlust
Vintage Photos | Found this photo of my Dad and his 2 flatmates from the '60's. They were living in Surulere, Lagos, at the time...above a photo studio. Whenever they had a few extra kobo, they would dress in their best finery and head downstairs for a photo session. Dad remembers them both fondly - Emeka, on the left, is an Engineer in the UK now and his buddy on the right (whose name is now forgotten and no longer in touch with, yet still fondly revered) had always been the jokester of the crew. Till today, Dad (in the middle) still has the same gentle and compassionate disposition you feel radiating from this photo. #EverydayNigerians #VintagePhotos #MemoryLane #Surulere #Lagos #Nigeria #Naija #Attire #1960s
