3:3 Today officially marks one year since we moved into the RV, said goodbye to our home in NJ, and hit the road! Since then we’ve travelled over 10,000 miles calling 14 different states our home (we only count the ones we lived in), and when I look back on the year we’ve had I can’t help but feel so much gratitude for all of it. This year has felt like an awakening. Every mile traveled has inspired new questions, fueled new passions, and created an insatiable desire to explore more.
🔹
We decided to do this because we wanted to. It’s that simple. I think it’s safe to say that neither Ryan nor I are traditionalists and we realized a while ago that our priorities for life weren’t aligning with the path we were on. We got honest with ourselves and embraced the need for change; then we dreamed, we researched, we planned, and we did it. Yep, it was really scary. Yep, it was totally stressful. Yep, it was a bit expensive up front. And yep, it was absolutely worth it.
🔹
The next year is going to bring some pretty big changes for us once again, and we’re excited and ready to embrace what’s coming. Living this way has forced us to learn how to stay in rhythm even though our tempo is constantly changing, but it’s also shown us how living deliberately and with intent leads to less anxiety and more fulfillment in our day-to-day lives. That’s not to say it’s been stress-free and perfect every day, far from it—we live in a freaking 180sq ft. rolling box; the only room with a door is the john— but it’s changed my perspective on society’s rules of engagement and where I fit in, and that’s been freeing.
🔹
So for now, we’re looking forward to heading back to San Diego for the winter. After months of moving an average of once a week, it’ll be nice to settle in and hibernate a bit. It’ll also be nice to spend time with friends and family. If there’s one thing that we’ve desperately missed it’s that.
💙
Oh btw, we’re heading back east for Thanksgiving. We’ll be in Jersey 17-20th. If you’re not too busy with holiday ish find us for a hug and beer!

MOAR large rocks from Capitol Reef❗️
.
First shot is another view of the Temple of the Moon; behind it in the distance (and actually much bigger), the Temple of the Sun 🌜🌞
.
If Utah has never been on your list of places to visit, change that immediately. This state knows how to serve it up.

Sometimes the shallowest line was ankle-deep, sometimes... thigh-deep. Or in the case of @acharliegirl, waist-deep 💦#adventureswithfriends #welovehavingvisitors #zionnarrows #zionnationalpark

This was the scariest hike I've ever done. Angel's Landing at Zion (5mi, 1500ft elevation gain) is worth the hype. You climb that entire ridge with 1500ft sheer drops on either side. Don't worry, you get chains to hold every so often at the parts where you'd be most likely to die. #zionnp #angelslanding #wholelottanope #madeittothesummit wuddup @acharliegirl for the first 📷
