Castle of Santa Barbara lies on top of Mount Benacantil in Alicante, Spain, at a height of 545 feet. It's one of the largest medieval fortresses in Spain, built in the ninth century and with an amazing view of town and harbor. If you feel like it, the hike from Plaza de Carmen is a sight in itself and will take you through some narrow winding streets. If not, there is an elevator in the core of Mount Benacantil. Check out the Jetpac City Guide for Alicante for more photos and fun places to see! #Alicante #Spain #travel #instatravel #cityguide #travelguide #travelphoto #travelapp

Trondheim celebrated its 1000th anniversary in 1997 but the city was not so much of a center for the Vikings, as it was founded at the end of the Viking Age. However, it was the religious center of northern Europe during the Middle Ages and a vital hub for North Atlantic trade, giving it plenty of characteristic mansions and harbor houses. #Norway #Trondheim #travel #architecture #JetpacCityGuides #colorful #Scandinavia
