Went to see Network at The National this week. A very beautiful set and cleverly staged and Bryan Cranston did a good job in the lead. Though for me the film allows more for the profundity of the tale. We ate at Sea Containers after which I'd wanted to try, it was a beautiful set up. Food was ok. Which is not a compliment really is it? I like going out, it was the first time sans babe in a couple of months, but at the same time staying in and watching the film with a bit of rustic home cooking would probably have suited us more.

There's never a day when this kid doesn't have porridge in his ears. Bonus shot of him pulling a funny face as a reindeer on xmas day walk

The littlest babe is still sick. Bad cold and chest infection. He's miserable. The bigger babe had him all weekend whilst I was doing this. Ok for a starting point.

Lucked out with a delightful little Airbnb in Bedwyn, two rooms with an ensure for £55 a night. I'm currently down the road at the local foodie pub quaffing prosecco and reading a book about Crones and their place in mythology and society but getting distracted by a cute little puppa who is hoping for a bit of everyone's supper.

There is a charity shop near me that has Gucci, Vivienne Westwood and Isabel Marant. It isn't super cheap but it is very affordable and it's also sustainable fashion. Today I came home with this iron Japanese tea set including warmer. I can tell you where it is but let's keep it on the down low 'k?

Meanwhile, Stanley is behind the sofa pulling out all the nappies we've saved to give to the local foodbank. Enjoy this element of calm that is not representative of my home. Also the wifi wire.

We've had a few things to celebrate lately and so marked them with some contemporary landscapes from David Taylor. The first is somewhat larger than the second. I'll try and get a sense of scale later

I didn't used to like dahlia's. I thought they were a bit cheap and tawdry looking. But I was definitely wrong, they are complex, bright and beautiful.
