It's nice to have places to go but it's even nicer to have places to come back to.
Every time I leave this city a part of my heart gets left behind and it becomes so difficult to leave. I always say this but Cambridge is home. It's beautiful alleys, the amazing colleges, the cultural acts performing on King's parade, the quirky bars, the beautiful people. I'm always going to call Cambridge home. It will always be home. I have memories in every inch of this city that are always warmly welcomed when they're evoked upon my return here.
For some reason leaving this time around is so much more difficult than what it has ever been in a very long time.
Until next time home, until next time πŸ’œ
The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

The skyline in Florence will forever and for always be my favourite city rising in to the sky, outlining its beauty at any moment of the day. πŸ’œ #florence #piazzamichelangelo #sunset #beauty #favourite
It was my life-like all lives, mysterious and irrevocable and sacred. So very close, so very present, so very belonging to me.
How wild it was to let it be. #wild #howwilditwastoletitbe #cinqueterre
Sat at the edge, feeling infinite.
PS: the long pause was because I just couldn't stop admiring where I was.
Corgnilia to Manarola
Because in the end you won't remember the time you spent working in the office or mowing your lawn.
Climb that goddamn mountain.
Well said Jack.
Yup I cried.
I hiked for six hours, 25.6 kilometres. Carried a stupid rucksack because I thought I'd need food (trust me you won't be thinking about hunger at ALL when you're hiking), which burdened me until the end. It was heavy and it broke AGAIN. The beginning of the hikes were difficult as is everything in life. The beginnings are tough. This whole hike has been some metaphor regarding life.
That last leg was fucking painful. It challenged me so much emotionally mainly and then physically. I actually felt as though my entire being, spirit and soul just broke.
What got me through it at the last leg was what one woman said to me, she said it's another 20 minutes uphill but she smiled and said 'one step at a time dear, and you'll be fine'
One step at a time dear, and you'll be fine πŸ™
After repeating that for the challenging up hill with a broken, uneven rucksack I got to a beautiful off beat path. Fuck me it was amazing. I literally felt infinite. The sky and the sea merged to one and the sun was setting, I was sat at the edge of a vineyard that was GOD knows how many kilometres above sea level. It was fucking beautiful. I sang at the top of my lungs cos no one was on that hike (minus three groups of like four I met and a couple, but they were all ending it as I begun) I screamed at the top of my lungs, I shouted life is beautiful. It was amazing.
So yes, I hiked the cinque terre and I'm so fucking proud. I decided I want to get the red and white marker tattooed on me because this hike really will stay with me.
That's another one off the list.

Three villages and five hours later ✌️🏻Not looking as fresh now. One more village to go. Still equally as excited though.
Let's do this mother fucking hike πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ€˜πŸ»
Well despite my rucksack breaking, me forgetting my hiking socks at home and having to buy another ticket I still had a lovely day. The minor hiccups are what make things memorable. Perfection doesn't exist my friends ☝
I thought certain trails for the hike were closed but turns out they aren't! I saw a pretty sunset and some amazing Italian architecture. I had the most amazing meal at this beautiful restaurant. Veg tempura battered with rice flour, caponata, pesto, Apple with celery dressed with sesame and oil, and a traditional Ligurian dish. Followed by a black rice and veggie dish cooked with lots of basil and the dessert was chestnut pancakes. Who said being gluten free and vegan as limited options and is boring 🀷🏻
Tomorrow is the big day! Cannot wait to hike the cinque terre πŸ’œ
