Best part of waking up. ♡
Things I have in common with Jersey cows: Skinny legs + a big bellay, getting real mad when you can’t sit by your bestie, hauling A when the bell rings for the carbs and you can stop chewing on salad. 9 month gestation and 45 years of nursing😉. Vermont I ♡ you.

If Cal's face doesn't sum him right up... (This was a couple weeks ago and I cried seeing the first walls go up. It's all framed now and they're onto the roof! I've got all the pics on @smallfryblog today for those of you following along.)
Hike notes: The boys all collected walking sticks and found Raleigh a small one to carry. By the time we got to the car I realized he had chewed through the top third and had a brown beard of wood shavings. 🤔 Happy Fall!
When Las Vegas loves you back. 🃏Found petroglyphs + front row seats with nosebleed tickets + 83° lake water + laughs I didn't even know existed. #johnfogerty

3-Peat! All our kids have crawled at 10 months and walked at 16. Besides being pretty slow, isn't that also weird?! ♡ That concentration face.

Last one. Alright, last 3. 🙄 @kindhood
"Whoa." - Raleigh, after every wave.
Hayes has been leveled by nearly 300 waves at this point. Not slowing him down in the slightest. #beachpeople
We've got ourselves a kindergartner!! I forgot how much I missed his post-school tall tales. Today a 1 year old and 2 year old got in trouble for playing tug-of-war and there were 5 praying mantises and 5 Addys in his class. #lies Gonna be one epic year to be sure!! Also my deep thoughts are on @smallfryblog - it's getting all the good stuff now that I'm a lone wolf over there. 🙈
Grade ✌🏼(and down ✌🏼front teeth)! Got himself up and showered, gelled that hair, picked his clothes down to his knee-high dress socks 🙌🏼 and kept saying how excited he was for today. His level of independence feels so monumental to me. My tiny Hayes who used to cling to my leg at play dates, carries himself with kind confidence even into the unknown. The world is yours, Hayes baby Hayes!
I've lived at the foot of this mountain since I was 9 years old. High time I saw the top. Little did I know we'd get the wildflowers and the goats and the treachery, too. Timp always over delivers!

🎶Alpine School District take the wheeeel.🎶 ••• Summer 2017 has been more formative for me than any other. Pushed to the absolute limit, the most vulnerable, unknowing, faith-filled time of our life. With everything lately, I have to wait for the "why" to unroll and then the blessing is clear as day. But I'm getting quicker and "It will all work out" has gone from lip service and theory to the life law I can't deny and tell everyone else with full, annoying confidence. 😂 Just more evidence to pile up that God loves us and has a plan far better than I could have ever Type A'd for myself. All that to say, blessed doesn't always (ever?) mean easy and holy cow I am ready for school to start. Maybe I'll even brush their hair. 🙈
I'll take shoes on the wrong feet and a "kiths on the lipths" from Cal anytime, anywhere.
Even though he still calls me "dad", 😍❤️💋👩‍👦💥🏆.
