It’s impossible not to have a great time at this venue. @spoontheband and @theshins killed it.

Getting back into running has been a truly humbling experience. In the past I have run a few half marathons, and would run trails multiple times per week.
When I started taking coding seriously about 3 years ago, my health began to take a toll. For the past 3 weeks I have been struggling to run a mile without stopping to walk. My ankles and knees get sore, my heart and lungs are not accustomed, and my mental game is lacking in the grit needed to fully push through.
But the goal is there, and it’s set in stone. I already signed up for a race for May of next year and I’m determined to finish, no matter how slowly. All it takes to get back to that place can be summed up in a word: consistency.
What is your why?
I miss the days when I would climb a peak at 6 am, a yoga mat strapped to my back, just to catch the sunrise and get in a couple salutations overlooking the valley.
Now I'm lucky if I find time to hit the gym before work.
Impactful individuals learn from their mistakes and their triumphs. The past can be a motivator or a trip wire. By viewing it as a lesson we can set a course for what we want to get out of life.
With any goal we set, it's so important to set a "why." Today I'm going to share mine with you.
I want to run a trail race within the next year. Why? It embodies the virtues that I value. I not only need to lose weight and get in shape, but there's something incredibly freeing about spending time in nature. It cleanses my soul and gives me time and space to gain clarity of mind as to what is worth my attention, my stress, and my precious time on this earth. Being able to run, like I once did, across miles of trail, is actually incredibly important to me, and I intend to get back to that place.
New Years resolutions are overrated. September 19 is as good a day as any. Do you have any current goals? If so, what is your "why?"

Sorry friends, you're going to have to look elsewhere for inspirational quotes. I feel like crap today.
Still reading? Ok, fine. Here you go.
For last year's words belong to last year's language
And next year's words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.

New beginnings are overrated.
So is realism in photo editing.
The fact that these wondrous creatures even exist is just crazy to me.
This #MemorialDay, I am grateful. If you served in the armed forces, put your drink on my tab. For those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to defend what I take for granted, I owe you far, far more. I will strive not to forget that.
I am grateful, because I know the sun will rise tomorrow.
