Today I had plans to do a workout from a program I completed a couple months ago. McKinley, however, had other plans😜👶🏻And guess what her plans DIDN’T include? My workout 🤷🏻‍♀️. I tried to incorporate her into it, but she wasn’t having it...at all 😑. So, 20 minutes in I had to stop. But you know what? I still got in a solid 20ish minutes, and...I got to cuddle with an adorable little one. I went from working out, to 15 minutes later napping with my sweet 👶🏻. Wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Sometimes it happens, and if we are caught up in only what we had planned, we will miss the small moments with those around us. @andrew_ienuso thanks for pointing this out for me today ❤️ So today, a solid portion of strength intervals went down in the books for my workout.

Holy Fit! It’s been a long vacation, and guess what? I’ve worked out EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. 🙌🏻💪🏻Not because I had to, but because I WANTED TO!
My daily morning workout was something I constantly looked forward to. A lot of people have said they don’t like working out at home, which I totally get. Sometimes I have to. I usually workout in our hotel room when we travel, but this vacation I decided to try something new and I hit the fitness center up everyday, and you know what? I ❤️loved❤️ it! I brought my phone with me and streamed my workout. I had all the equipment I needed right in front of me, AND even mirrors to check on my form. What’s my point?? Just because you stream your workouts doesn’t mean you can’t go to the gym!! It just means you have *more options* and *more focus* when you workout. 30 minutes in the gym, and then I joined my family at breakfast.
Set yourself up for success by trying new things. You’ll never know if you don’t try! 25-30 minutes a day. That’s it. It’s THAT simple!! Our last day on vacation before our long trip home 😩. Things didn’t go as planned. —�—�—�—�—�—�—�—�—�—�—�—�—�—�—😵Our first flight got cancelled so we lost a day of our trip (and a whole lot of 💵💵). 😵When we got to Phuket the weather was 👎🏼. 😩finally the weather cleared up, but our sweet little girl got sick, and became worse each day 👶🏻👎🏼. Andrew and I have been exhausted — and so has McKinley.
It could’ve been easy to complain, but instead, we are grateful for this time together as a family, even if it wasn’t how we pictured it. Traveling isn’t always easy, but it’s a part of our life and we embrace it...all of it. If you take the good, you must take the bad,too.
So...homeward bound we are tomorrow, and the countdown to our next trip to Amsterdam, Berlin, Cesky Krumlov, Prague, and some other European cities begins! It’s time for a #coldvacation
PS — McK is doing a little better today...hopefully she is better before our flight.

Teamwork makes the dream work...especially on vacation!! @andrew_ienuso and I make sure we figure out a routine as soon as we get to a hotel when on vacation. This ensures we both get our exercise in, and there is no confusion about when it will happen. Today I did a new workout 😵 and let’s just say 🔥🔥🔥!! Abs. Booty. Core. And my shoulders were on fire too, which is great for my #armgoals.

The weather finally got nice and things are looking up! MCK is a bit sick, so she’s not sleeping all that much...so it’s a good thing I have my magic pre-workout energizer to help get me through my workouts! I’m on week two of 7 days of working out! 🙌🏻 I set that goal and am super proud I’ve stuck with it! Also loving my workout program - especially when it’s followed with a fresh coconut! ❤️❤️❤️🌴🌊☀️

Some people go on vacation to work on their tans...others go to work on their #armgoals 💪🏻 While living the 80/20 motto on vacation, I’m still killing it on the workout front. Weird because this is the FIRST vacation I’ve taken where I FEEL like working out. I’m not depriving myself of food either, but because I’m HEALTHIER and more fit, and I’m keeping the exercise up...my body craves the good stuff.
Since I’ve made this lifestyle change, traveling never FELT SO GOOD.
