Box jumps! Why I love em.. .
_
Jumping increases your strength and muscle tone, and builds both upper body and lower body strength like crazy. Box jumps force you to jump high enough that you’re forced to use every single muscle in your legs (as well as your arms) to propel you up.

They’ll work your butt and hips. I believe every that for someone striving to be a great overall athlete should definitely have strong glutes and hips! A whole lot of power comes from the butt!
The gluteal muscles (butt muscle) are a group of three muscles which make up the buttocks: the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius and gluteus minimus. Get them strong and loose with box jumps!! The box/platform doesn’t have to be so high. It’s should be challenging to jump up and perform with high repetitions.

I’d put it right up there with pull ups and burpees as one of the most badass exercises ever.🤙

The other day after a grueling workout, walking up stairs was a challenge lol. The workout was 20 sets of running the stairs to start then 200 reps of 3 foot box jumps, 500 double unders (jumprope) and 5 sets of hill running. (little less the a quarter mile each set) After the workout I really reaaaaally looked forward to having my Amino acids.
I usually drink them while I’m training but I couldn’t since I was all over the place running and jumping. 😅💦

My physique has changed a lot lately. I haven’t been doing much of calisthenics. I’ve been hitting training boxing and running a bunch and honestly feel Amazing! I feel loose and fast. I always have since I started training calisthenics 7 years ago but I just feel more loose and athletic now because I’m holding less muscle.

I don’t mind the loss of muscle not one bit. The fact is that it’s going to help me perform a lot better with what I’m currently chasing. 🥊⚡️⚡️

Try not to worry much of how you look.. worry more about how you perform! Simple train for what you want!! Want to be athletic. Then train athletic.. get my program #Tank711 do calisthenics/jumprope. Want to be a bodybuilder lift weights & follow a solid program. 👊

5 sets of the “figure 8” with my brother @mutantmoney 👽🦍 with a whole lot of stair running and skipping rope. To be honest there’s very few that train like us... Every workout we go till failure! Working our mind and heart to the complete max! Sweating a bunch! 😅

I train myself & a lot of my clients at the park when the weather is nice.. I have back to back clients & it’s hard for me to go somewhere and eat. I have a shake in-between my clients but it sometimes don’t hold me over.
