Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving. It’s been a bit of a bittersweet year for me. But taking photos of this happy little island and sharing them with my Instagram friends has brought me a great deal of joy. I’m so thankful for you all. ❤️

I’m not joking when I say (in my Instagram bio) that I brake for pink clouds. I pulled to the side of the road in Beachtown and started filming last night when I realized I was missing my favorite colored clouds.

Based on last night’s fiery sunset, I had a hunch this morning’s sunrise could be something special. I was not disappointed. Wow! #sunrise #galveston

Caprock Canyons State Park was absolutely overwhelming in its rugged beauty. We spent two days exploring this remote, gorgeous place and it wasn’t nearly enough time. It’s truly spectacular. #texas #caprockcanyonsstatepark #igtexas #texastourism #texastodo

There was just the tiniest hint of color in the sky last night, but the clouds were wonderful. #Galveston #sunset

A large flock of grackles flying in front of the moon at dusk. We’ve reached peak October on the island. #Galveston #grackles #moon

I’m a cloud lover, but there is something undeniably meditative about a vast expanse of cloudless sky. #Galveston #sunset #sky

Close up of the cloud tops from the previous photo. I’m still not entirely convinced I couldn’t climb up on those and have a seat.

When I was little, I thought clouds were solid things and that one day, when I was older, I could sit on one and look down at the earth. Seeing these cloud mountains from yesterday morning’s sunrise, I think my mistaken belief is entirely understandable.
