I'm a total slacker...the girl's first day of school was Tuesday and I am just now posting pictures!💁🏼It is so hard for me to wrap my head around them being in Kinder and FIFTH🤦🏼‍♀️ - When did Alli even get big enough to cross the street by herself, let alone enter into 5th grade😢!?! These two are such a delight and so much fun, I love getting to see life through their eyes!!! They have had the best week and are so excited that school has finally started! We❤️CCA!

We recently returned home from vacation and while there we experienced a few days of imperfect beach weather. After the second day of inclement weather, we made a decision to embrace the beauty of an overcast, rainy day and go for a little "joy ride" to take in new & different sights. It truly was beautiful. At the end of our little journey we ended at a city pier with a small bait shop. It was in that drizzly moment we decided it would be fun to go fishing. We purchased all the appropriate gear, baited our rod and dropped a line. We casted & waited to many times to count. We were prepared and even more than that we were expectant of a great catch. The girls were so full of joy and anticipation, as were Tanner and myself. With each bite our hearts began beating faster and we were determined to set the hook & reel in our trophy fish! In the duration of this time, I was so impressed with my husband's patience and how he would just peacefully drop the line into the white caps of the ocean expecting to catch our "dinner"😊. It immediately convicted me of how impatient I can get while waiting on the Lord. It reminded me to be peaceful in the waiting, to be joyful in the waiting but to also remain prepared & expectant for the Lord to move...even when the "weather" conditions are inclement. We were prepared, expectant, patient & joyful the entire time we fished off the edge of a cement bank. We ended up never catching a single fish, lol! When we left we were soaking wet and empty handed but our spirits were full of so much joy & fun memories were deposited into our memory bank. Collectively we chose to enjoy the adventure, the journey, the relationships, the beauty of our Father's creation - attributes that may not be illustrated in the busyness of our daily lives. This morning as the Holy Spirit brought this moment to my memory I felt led to encourage myself and anyone else that whatever season of life we may be in to remain prepared, to be expectant, to stay patient and to enjoy the journey, the relationships & the beauty of His creation! (Continued in comments)

I seriously get so excited every year when this day rolls around...the day I (we) get a designated day to celebrate redemption, restoration, grace, forgiveness, faithfulness, acceptance, growth and a multitude of other things the Lord has taught me, shown me and freely given to me through this union. I am so grateful that the Lord gave me a husband with such a gentle soul, who is patient, affectionate, loving, laid back, hardworking and faithful! He chooses to love me even though he knows all my ugly! I love celebrating this day with him (even when the date sometimes escapes us😉😂). Every year we EARN our anniversary and every year I will celebrate our victories and be thankful for our shortcomings! Tanner Crump, you are my absolute favorite....we may be grayer, older and larger then we were 11 years ago but we are definitely 1,000 times better then we were then!😘 #wegetbetterwithage #selfiesarehard #weprobablytook50 #andnoneofthemweregood 🤣

I love a good study that will challenge me and rattle any religious spirit I may have, but I equally love simplicity and getting back to the basics. Sometimes, it can be easy to neglect our home and serving the people in it. I did this little month long devo last year, the author makes it so simple and it really helps refocus the❤️behind making our house a home - a great staple to have on hand to bust out if you are in need of an 'alignment' within your dwelling place🌸❤

My first morning of break to just sit....enjoy my coffee and read, while listening to the girls play "best-ies "! I peeked up from my book and felt led to share a bit of "real" - it's driving me a smidge crazy but taking in the stillness is so much sweeter & I know the moment I begin moving the calming lull in my home will dissolve❤

Every time we see Santa this little nugget is so saddened that Mrs. Clause is nowhere in sight! She was thrilled tonight at the NorthPole of Texas that she got to give her some good loving!! I love this sweet ministry that serves our community so joyfully! ❤️

.:roasted.okra:. This has easily become one of my favorite snacks! I feel like okra is often a forgotten vegetable and we gobble it up in most all forms(other than fried;)! Aside from being yummy it is great for stabilizing blood sugar, neutralizing acids, has strong laxative properties, is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory & is great for helping keep skin clear! •& Alli thinks it tastes better than potato chips❤️

Forever proud of our incredible community!!! Every officer in our county was adopted by residents in our area and each provided with a 'level 4 hard armor rifle plate carrier vest'! So thankful for people that cared enough to show our law enforcement love & support!! While the rest of the country was reporting the opposite ours was making a difference in the safety and security of our LEO agencies. From me personally; thank you for adopting my husband! Out of the 4 people that live in our home, his attention and affirmation is the most fought for and his words hold the highest amount of influence!! We adore him, value him and need him! Thank you all for being so generous❤️ #backingourblue

Oh the difference one year and (almost) 80lbs makes!! The first pic was taken last November and the second was yesterday! The longest journey I thought I would ever go on has gone by so fast!! Praying for increased endurance, focus & strength for the next 50lbs!
My little Cleopatra! She will rarely let me take her picture these days and so I am forever grateful to have gotten this one, even if it is a mock Halloween pic❤️ I am so so proud of the little lady she is growing into! She is thoughtful, funny, confident, determined and so smart. She was awarded Student of the Month the first month of school and today she brought home straight A's! It has been a long road to where she is now and I am so thankful that she never gives up on believing in herself!!!
