“Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.”

My motto for 2018.

I can’t expect different results by doing the same damn thing. So, I change. I change my thinking. I change my actions. I change habits.

If you agree with this and are looking for some sort of change in your life, wether it’s your health, your fitness, your creativity, your mindset, your sobriety, your financial situation, anything really...let’s chat!

I’m on my own personal journey of change and I just >>>K N O W <<< that if you’re reading this thinking “man I need to just do it!”, that we could work T O G E T H E R and motivate eachother to try new things and become that change we want to see in our lives! It wouldn’t be as hard or as scary if we were making those changes together!

Sure, I spent a good portion of my time in the kitchen this fine Sunday. But that will even out when I don’t have to spend time, money or effort for any of my meals this week. The best part about it? I’m eating on point. •
I’m so excited to be starting a new program tomorrow. Sure, I do programs often, they’re a huge part of my life these days. But this one?! This one is a game changer!

All I keep thinking of is that quote “if you want something you’ve never had before, you’ve got to do something you’ve never done!”

I could eat right and workout all I want, but if I keep expecting different outcomes from the same ole routine, that’s just silly. So it’s time to switch up the game.

I’ll be sharing my journey with you, highs and lows. Befores and afters. The next 80 days will be my journey to the most healthy and strong person I’ve ever been!!

A couple weeks ago, I tried this new program out. It used sliders and bands, both of which I did NOT have. Did I let that stop me? Nope. I grabbed some paper plates and modified. I made that ISH happen.

Fast forward to this week when I got those sliders in the mail....the workouts I was not using bands with were hard. And those paper plat sliders worked...enough. Now that I have those bands there is resistance added to the simplest of moves, making them much more difficult. Now that I have those sliders I realize the paper plates made my life easy because they stayed in place. With the sliders I have to stabilize my body and I am getting an incredible workout.

I am so freaking excited you guys!! I start going hard on Monday. Using the sliders, the bands, the timed nutrition and the supplements. The next 3 months are going to change not only my body but also my mind because I have never committed to a program that was this long.

Here’s to being in better shape mentally and physically than I ever was before I had a baby.

Sidenote: the sliders make a damn good after workout fan...just sayin’.

She looks so big when she’s in the car seat. 💕 I have to give @mwnakano a shoutout here for the cutest shoes in the world that I’ve been waiting to put on her for the longest...they’re still a bit too big. 😂

Doesn’t look like a lot, but it is. This is what my post workout meals have consisted of these past few days. Honestly on this new timed nutrition thing I’ve never felt better.

Who would have thought that putting thought into what you’re eating and when could have such a positive affect on your body? Huh.

True Story.

I was recently asked: what is one thing that I have done consistently since starting my postpartum journey? And would you say that’s helped you get the results you have now?🤔

Well, I’ve definitely tried a few things but honestly, the thing that I have done every single day since I had my baby? Drink my shake. I believe it has 100% helped me with my journey thus far.

This tastiness right here is freaking loaded with vitamins and whole foods that my body absolutely. T H R I V E S on. I even took it to my Dr and she approved it for my postnatal vitamins. It’s legit that good!

But that’s not exactly why I’ve had it everyday. Oopsie. I’ve honestly had it everyday since August 16, because of the taste. Those postnatal cravings have been serious. Everyone talks about the pregnancy cravings but they forget to mention these bad boys. They’re no joke.

While, of course, I’ve indulged in the tasty treats when absolutely necessary. This has just kept me sane and on my journey. This one tastes like coffee. 🤤 I toss a banana in, some ice, maybe peanut butter, top it off with a little almond milk + water combo...B A M ! Cravings gone and vitamins down the hatch in one swoop.

Pretty cool huh? The best part? I’ve got some for Y O U to try if you’d like to. But that’s only if you’re interested in regulating your digestion, having more energy, growing hair and nails, improving your immune system, reducing cravings, aiding in weight loss and so much more. If you’re N O T interested in those things, then keep scrolling. If you A R E, comment below and I’ll send some samples your way!

Lunch today. Pretty tasty. This is fuel for my body. So that my body can grow and recuperate the way it was designed to. And it doesn’t taste half bad either.

Imagine if we Obsessed about the things we love about ourselves as much as we Obsess about the things we dislike.

I’ve been sitting on this video for a few weeks. This was during a workout that I inevitably quit half way through because of the moment within this video.

You’ll see in the video that I’m doing a “spike” move and my gaze finds my problem area “flopping” around. I get self conscious and stop. I would hav done the exact same thing had I not been recording.

My least favorite part of my body looked horrible during that move. I was so upset. I let it get in the way of me trying to work on that area [this particular move actually blasts that area]. I let my self image get in the way of my workout for that day and that’s no bueno.

I didn’t share this video right away because if two reasons. First off, it’s embarrassing to show those that follow me for my fitness journey that I am weak. And second I wasn’t sure how it would come across.

You see, we are all on separate journeys and someone can easily look at this and think that this moment isn’t anything compared to what they endure. I decided to share it for that reason specifically. For the reason that we ARE all on separate journeys, but what we as women feel can sometimes be so similar.

I wanted I share this and show everyone that breakdowns and self consciousness happens to everyone! I need to work on my own self love and build from there. Look at my body and see my flaws but not let them get in the way of the direction I’m going.

Easier said than done. I will keep trying that’s for sure. Happy Sunday!

Breakfast. Multigrain Dave’s Killer Seed Toast, asparagus and a poorly poached egg. My sleep was out of my control last night, my breakfast and attitude that I start this day with are in my control. 💕

2017 was an incredible year. I feel as though I am ending it on such a good note. And I’m not done yet folks.

Between these two pictures is 6 weeks of hard work and dedication. You guys, 6 weeks! I’m going to dish some realness your way right now…You want results? Well, you have to work for them. You want to see change? Well you have to MAKE CHANGES. You cannot expect to see lasting results if the effort isn’t there.

My goals for 2018 revolve around the idea that I am not emotionally attached to the result, instead I will set a goal to do daily activities to give me the desired result. What does that mean? It means I don’t just pick a number and when I don’t immediately reach that number, give up. It means I’m not obsessed with that number but instead obsessed with the actions that will get me to that number. I’m focusing on daily habits, seemingly small, to smash giant goals.

As I wrap this year up I will have finished my first full workout program for the year as well. That is insane. I’ve dabbled in program after program this past year during and shortly after my pregnancy. After my baby was born, I focused on getting my nutrition back on point and eased back into working out. It wasn’t until I was a full 15 weeks postpartum that I actually decided it was time to step up my game and start and complete a program. It feels good. Damn good.

Going into 2018 I’m going to go ALL IN and commit to an 80 day at home workout program. What?! Sounds crazy, am I right? Well, I’ll be taking a tip from my sobriety and taking it a day at a time. I won’t emotionally attach myself to an end result because I KNOW that if I do those daily habits and commit to eating clean and getting my workout in…the results will follow. If you’re ready to commit to those daily habits and see those desired results, let’s do it!

Happy New Year!!
