I was tagged by @wattland to show a before and after edit #before_after_edit so here it is!! This is one of my favourite shots and I'm very fond of the subtlety on the edit (and i could remember how i did it). First of all I made sure that the setting sunlight from the left of the picture hit the stone wall of the barn at the right angle and created lots of depth in the grass - dog kept out of shot(!) I then edited the photo in #snapseed adjusting the ambience a little and hitching the detail up to make sure the grass blades were overly visible. The image then has the #xpro filter added for that bit more depth and to add feature.
I'm not sure who to tag, so I won't, but if you have any interesting edits and would be willing to share a master class please get involved!!!

Walking back from the park with my son and the dog. What a beautiful sunset it was here this afternoon - just had to get a photo of it. What was really nice was that all of the children who had finished school and were playing stopped to look at it too, and started talking about the clouds and why they thought it was special. It felt so nice sharing the moment with them and knowing they already appreciate beauty in the world to the point that it stops them in their tracks. There is hope!

This is a really small bit of woodland close to home. The trees are planted almost in avenues, but there is some irregular planting too, as well as a few older trees. It’s lovely when the last light of the day sits low and casts shadows and patterns through the leaves and branches.

Allotments meet the lane, and sun meets the autumn leaves. Perfect.

I’m back in England. I don’t care what you may say about a heatwave. It’s cold. This was Spain this afternoon. Look at those colours!

What a handsome looking creature! Why a spider scares me and this doesn’t, goodness only knows.
