Went to try out the latest EMS studio that's been making waves around the fitness world. Body 20 is not just another EMS studio, but rather a specialised EMS studio of sorts. For those who don't know what EMS is, its basically a suit they put on you that sends electric pulses to your body. There two settings, the first is more cardio based and the second is targeted at toning. I personally would only suggest EMS training to people who want to add it to your current training plan. You cant, in my opinion, just do EMS training. I think its great to include it in your plan as it targets muscles you may not get to regularly while training. The lovely Nicole took the 20 minute session and by the end of the 20 minutes, I had worked up a mild sweat. If you are a fitness fan, I'd say try out an EMS session. Decided to head on over to the wicked Westcliff Stairs to do a quick outdoor workout. Just running the Westcliff Stairs, will wear you out. But if you feeling adventurous, save this workout and head on over to the stairs and do this mini workout. Use the stairs as 'equipment' - jump squats, incline push ups and tricep dips are just a few of the exercises you can add to your next visit to the Westcliff Stairs. The views of the Jacaranda trees from the top of the stairs is worth the sweat. #LetsGetFitTogether #MikaMadeMeSWEAT #WednesdayWorkout

Just finished my first laser hair removal session with @drkanaris. The process is incredibly quick, I thought it would take a while, bit was over in a few minutes. Because I am rather hairy (I'm Greek), I'll need to go in for at least another 6 sessions.
Thank you Andrew. Its crazy when you put the pictures together and see what a big difference there has been. Decided to make this my #transformationtuesday post. Hopefully it will inspire you to start leading a healthier lifestyle. I lost over 30kgs. Sure I have gained some weight/muscle back, but for me, its now about living a healthy balanced lifestyle. Dont stop living; just start living wisely. Find your balance. Be your best! My transformation would have not been possible if it werent for @biogensa @planetfitnessza @newbalanceza @trifocusfitnessacademy @caz_abrahams and all the incredible instructors at @sweat_1000. .

Inspired by these guys who didnt wanna give up, even after a power failure and the generator over heating. During last nights class, the power and generator went off, leaving us in the dark studio. Some of the ladies suggested we went outside and thats just what we did. As if we were cursed, it started raining but that didnt stop us. Okay, it was a little drizzle, but still rain nonetheless. To be honest, I was slightly thrown as I had planned a specific class and wasnt able to teach it, but these ladies determination to still train inspired us to still train. And it was actually refreshing being outdoors & slightly more challenging. Well done again to my super awesome athletes.

Park Run is such a vibe... Who would have thought Id enjoy waking up early on a Saturday to go run 5kms. Hahaha. If you have never done Park Run, what are you waiting for. I have seen people of all different fitness levels doing these weekly runs. Some walk and others sprint and finish within minutes, but it doesn't really matter - because at the end - everyone crosses that finish line. Get out and run. If you scared to run alone - here is the perfect opportunity to run with like minded people. And it's FREE!!
