Fact : cemeteries are always just a little creepy, even at noon.
  • Lauren, you should've seen this place. The oldest grave was from 1856.

When you’re as sick as I am, “la toilette” sounds exactly fucking right. Neeeeever will I skip a flu shot again.

It’s been almost two months and I still can’t stop thinking about kardemummabulle in Stockholm. @smittenkitchen please PLEASE teach me how to make these - they’re like a cinnamon roll, but with cardamom and they’re not all sickly sweet like American cinnamon rolls, they’re PERFECT and oh god they pair so well with a cappuccino I NEEEED them. Please?

#POV. I may be settling in to work all night but at least I got a big ol’ pot of ribollita to keep me company. And a dope ass flamingo mouse.

Our (first full size!!) tree was decorated while listening to Bad Religion’s Christmas album. But it’s not done yet! We ordered THE BEST tree topper and not in one million years will you guess what it is. Stay tuned kiddos.

Felt like practicing tilted head angles, hands and fabric folds. Then I tried to practice digital painting and immediately deleted that layer.

What’s better than just remembering Stockholm? Tasting Stockholm. Here’s part 1 of a two part Swedish fare journey (part 2 will have fika, and @writeswithwolves)

Aaaaaand we’re back to my regularly scheduled pictures of my dinner. Spaghetti squash really does have to be roasted slow to be perfect, and this was perrrrfeeeccctttt.

Ermengard the Monstrous, and Hubert York the Pliant at Convention of Thorns in Poland. This counts as a Halloween costume, right?

The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the topography of terror exhibit, the Berlin Wall, and the blasted remains of the Gestapo headquarters below it. There's a lot of lessons to be learned here.

Thursday and Friday saw us making our way to Poland to stay in a castle! It's even prettier than we could capture here. We'll post more photos soon!

Ou last day (and night) in Stockholm was magical. We toured the royal palace and the medieval museum, saw not one but TWO taxidermied horses (not pictured because I have failed you all) and basically we have fallen entirely in love with Stockholm and we want to fika nonstop for the rest of our lives.

I didn't find my family crest (like many crests, it was never made due to expense) but I DID find vegan hot chocolate. And a lot of other gorgeous sights. And a TON of herring (not pictured cause I ate it too quickly).
