These people make a tough football season a little more bearable. #bless
Gamedays with this crew are even more fun when you win!!
Gameday and these two. Nothing better. ❤️
So much to say, yet somehow no words come easily. Maddie Jennings was such a light in so many lives. Even in her darkest hours, she was courageous and strong, and could always find a reason to laugh. She blessed me immensely over the last 2 years, through deep heartache and tears, laughter, long talks, and super fun trips. She was truly one of a kind. Maddie was a gift to me, and one that will always have a chunk of my heart.
I rejoice in knowing that she is free from the brokenness of her body, and that she's in the presence of our Savior. I have the most beautiful mental image of Maddie entering heaven, and my mom being right there to greet her with the biggest hug. I have no doubt they are already great friends. In the words of Shauna Sanderson, "They are getting the party started for us!" Though we are heartbroken, Maddie would want all of us to smile. She and I had many conversations about eternity, and how thankful we are that because of Jesus there is a way for us to live eternally in perfect peace. If you don't know this Jesus, she wants you to, and so do I. "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." -James 1:12
Maddie persevered under trial. She stood the test. She loved the Lord. I have no doubt that she has received her crown of life as she worships the creator of the universe.
Until I get there, precious one. ❤️

Happy birthday to my best friend of 25 years! You don't miss a chance to live fully and intentionally, and you are always looking for a reason to celebrate. Thank you for reminding me to enjoy every day because life and time are precious and not guaranteed. I love you Marlee Grace!
Kicked off 27 with thirty of my favorite people in my new city. So thankful to have so many of my people in one place at the same time to celebrate LIFE. If I learned anything in year 26, it's that life is short and we only get one, so it should be spent wisely. Growing older is a privilege many people don't get, but it's one that is important to recognize and celebrate. Cheers to my great people, intentionally loving the gift of life, and living fully in year 27!❤️

Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand--when I awake, I am still with you.

Fun friends and pretty water makes for a pretty great vacation! 🛳☀️🌴

Being buried in 3 feet of sand is a real game changer.

She lives quite a ruff life.
"Hurry, anyone who calls Brian their second dad get in the picture!"
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
That explains it best. Happy Father's Day to the number one dad to M3, and the guy who is so much to so many others. We all love you infinitely!!! (Sadly not pictured, but not forgotten: @caitmyoung @mreedyoung @bene.garcia @merebarb @hannah.gaddis)

So many emotions this week. Teaching is an emotional profession, and the end of school is always bittersweet, but leaving my first school and classroom after 4 years made it a little more challenging. It's so hard to say goodbye, because Bowie is an amazing school filled with incredible little people and great educators. I'm thankful to have learned so much from all of them the last 4 years. This school will always have part of my heart. Overwhelmingly grateful for all that Bowie has been to me, and trusting that God has given me 4th grade at Lily B for a special reason!💗

The decision to leave Midland has been the most bittersweet thing of my life. If you'd asked me 2 years ago, I wouldn't have told you I'd be selling my house anytime soon. If you would have asked me 4 years ago, I wouldn't have told you I was planning on being here this long. God's plans aren't our own, huh? In Midland I've grown and learned a lot. Midland has given me some great friends and amazing career opportunities that I wouldn't have had elsewhere. As sad as it is to leave the good things in west Texas, I'm equally excited for what's waiting on me in Fort Worth! If I've learned anything, it's that God is trustworthy and good, and cares about the details of our lives. He has better plans for us than we even imagine. Overwhelmed with thankfulness for all of the good in Midland, and looking forward to what He has for me next!💗

It comes every year, and I have a love/hate relationship with it. I hate the stress that it puts on the kids, but I love the measure of growth and success that comes from it. Big prayers for everyone taking it today, and an extra special one for all the 3rd graders taking it for the first time ever!❤️
