Every afternoon she's here because right now she really needs downtime. Anyone else have an exhausted kindergarten kid? 🌿

Beeswax candles are the only choice if you want a candle that's good for you and the earth. Bees are so wonderful that in the process of making honey they make beeswax which, when burning, purifies the air of dust, germs and particulate matter. The story from hive to candle is #ontheblog - it's a fascinating one - and there's a discount code if you would like to add a few delightful @queenbcandles to your home this Christmas 🐝

Every November when these daisies line the roadside, it takes me back to November 2007 when I placed my six-week-old Che in a field of flowers for a newborn photo. And then he got bitten by an ant and I felt motherguilt for the first time so I squirted breastmilk on the bite and discovered the power of my motherly intuition (and breastmilk as a cure all). Nature is so closely bound to my motherhood memories, mostly because I only begun to notice nature's minutiae when I became a mum 🌼

This year I've found happiness in less work, slower days and more time to spend building treehouses (quite literally 👆🏻). On the flipside I need to be conscious of every dollar I spend. Subsequently I've created weekly and monthly budgets, embraced meal planning (and reduced food waste!) and have kept a close eye on my electricity - how much we're using and how much it's costing. Reducing my outgoings has been essential to saving money! I used @originenergy's Savernator to reassess my electricity bill and it told me exactly how much I could save if I changed to its service - you simply upload your current bill (and if you don't have a bill on hand, answer a few straightforward questions) and within seconds it provides you with personalised advice regarding your electricity costs. If less work and more time sounds like a good resolution for the New Year, head to to see if you can save #ad 🌿

Trying to spend as much one-on-one time as I can with him, even if it's only small snippets of time. The age gap between Percy and Marigold is my smallest by over a year and it's definitely required a lot of me - as in, he sleeps on my left every night and she's tucked under my right arm (goodbye personal space). But in all honesty, he's been so welcoming of his little sister and for that I'm very, very grateful (although he did cover her face with a blanket today so obviously it's a two steps forward, one step back process 😳) #siblinglove 🌿

Last year I was introduced to @sharethedignityaustralia - a charity that supports homeless women and victims of domestic violence. At Christmas time they organise the #itsinthebag campaign; fill a handbag with sanitary items, everyday personal care essentials and a few little luxuries, drop it off at your local collection point and during the festive season it will be gifted to a woman in need. I've shared all the details #ontheblog if you would like to take part 💛

Perched 🌿 I wrote about fear, of change and fear of complacency #ontheblog and now I'm thankful it's Friday evening with nothing but a slow weekend ahead of me. Phew! Also, make sure you pop over to @greenandgrowingthings tonight as beautiful Steph launches her new online space which is sure to inspire, inform and, in its own small way, make the world better 🌱

At this time of year when everything seems to be rushing toward us, the best thing you can do is put your baby in the washing basket and look at her as she lies there, mesmerised by the sheets drying on the line. Time is still and life is quiet and all your priorities fall gently back into place 🌿

Growing and harvesting herbs for the whole family 🌱 today #ontheblog I'm chatting to Meagan from @wholefamilyrhythms about the best herbs for children's health and her new eGuide - 40pages of beautiful guidance for urban and rural gardeners who want to grow their own herbs and greens 🌿💚 #wholefamilyherbs

Red, spotty cheeks and projectile vomits had me thinking this little one had a bit of a dairy allergy (much like her big sister). I've been (mostly) off dairy for three weeks now and while she still spits up (overflow because she's a guzzler) her cheeks are spot free and there hasn't been a projectile in sight. My instinct was right. Marigold at 3.5 months is my most settled baby yet. She's the calm amidst the chaos 🌿 photo taken for @naturebabynz's latest collection 🐋

This is one of my favourite things in the world...watching them play, make, create - wherever, whenever. In these moments I don't talk to them or even look for too long for fear I'll disrupt their groove. But listening to their conversation, getting a glimpse into their imagination and seeing them content with what's right in front of's the very best 🐚💦🌈

Wearing the overalls that all her siblings have worn. Looking mighty cute, too. Or as Daniel says: "She looks ridiculous." 💛

Feeling incredibly grateful for all your encouraging words yesterday 🙏🏻 it really is so exciting and, if I'm honest, somewhat daunting. Tomorrow we head to Sydney for the caravan expo so we can get a really good idea of what we want in a van. And so I can get my head around living in a tiny house with 4 kids, very limited bench space and storage room of the ultra-minimalist kind 🌿

Next year we're taking simple living to a whole new level. We're going to do a Big Lap of Australia - all 6 of us living in a caravan, homeschooling and exploring this great land. Have we been planning this for years? No, only a few months, actually. Are we mad? Perhaps! Will it be amazing? Yes! But I'm sure there will be lots of challenges, too. More #ontheblog 🚐⛱🌏

I photographed the new girls collection for @fabrikstore today and this dress, which is very Little House on the Prairie, is my absolute favourite with its embroidered cotton, wooden buttons and sleeves (love a dress with sleeves) 🌿
