Hey, thanks @parkcresthsm class of 2018! Appreciate you & your leaders serving @parkcrestkids last night so I could take this crazy bunch out for pizza to say thank you. I love how this team has taken ownership of Wednesdays (and Sundays)! Their investment in kid's lives is priceless. #sayyestoparkcrestkids #leadsmall #kidmin

πŸ’” Found out my cousin's husband passed away earlier this evening. And there are several others I know who are dealing with loss this week because of cancer. I'm with you. 😞
πŸ’₯Still basking in the post-Hamilton joy. I really wasn't sure it would live up to all the hype... but man, I got goosebumps several times throughout the show... and the last song made me cry! (Didn't see that coming! I have listened to it countless times before and never been moved emotionally... but man.) You sometimes worry when you have several understudies stepping in for your performance, but the entire cast was incredible and put on such an amazing show. Shout out to all the ladies in the cast for having some of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. Holy moley... so good! It was definitely worth the wait!

I'm kind of a mess today. My heart aches for those I know that were in Vegas last night and for those who lost a friend or loved on in yet another ridiculous tragedy. My heart aches that this has become our world. And in the aftermath, watching people taking sides and digging their heels in and not listening to others or being willing to consider another side. I just... My harmony and empathy cannot handle today. A day like today with emotions running wild... this would be a perfect binge day. But it won't be. I opened my notebook and this reminder from yesterday's coffee talk with @mamaferns07 was waiting for me... I made a plan for today. And I will stick to that plan. I will take a deep breath and persist. And I will gladly accept all the hugs today. Be kind to one another. #strongsmartcapableworthy

I may not "have kids of my own," but I definitely have kids in my life that I love as if they were. This one makes me smile... her little giggles and silly stories always make my day! #mybestlilah

Sunday was a pretty awesome day. Proud of this young lady who decided to be baptized Sunday! What an honor it has been to watch her grow up over the past few years. Gonna cherish these 8 1/2 months before she (and the rest of the 5th grade kids) move on to JHM! ⏳⏰ Time flies! #parkcrestkids #churchatthebeach #parkcrestatthebeach
Every 3 minutes someone in the US is diagnosed with a blood cancer. Leukemia is the most common cancer in kids and teens. Blood cancer can affect anyone at any time. And there is no way to prevent or screen for most blood cancers. #lightthenight #ltnocie #alcornsarmy #bloodcancerawareness

September is blood cancer awareness month. My mom was diagnosed with lymphoma and I can gratefully say she is a survivor. My friend Jennie Alcorn was diagnosed with leukemia. She is a survivor. My friend Michelle Moulton was diagnosed with lymphoma. She is a survivor. There are so many who come to mind who are fighting right now. I walk Light the Night for them and for the many who fought hard but lost their battles. LLS is fighting hard to #fightbloodcancer by supporting patients and working hard to find a cure. If you want to support me in the Light the Night walk and support LLS in their efforts, the link to donate is in my bio. Thanks, friends. β€οΈπŸ’šπŸ’œπŸ’›
