Hotpot before our tour briefing! I think we ordered so many sides that they add up to more than the actual hotpot. 😝 But we were excited to see so many options, hence we became trigger happy.

Can't stress how awesome this MSW durian logcake from @goodwoodparkhotelsg is! 😍 I lost count of how many slices I had. 3? 4? You can hardly see where the cake is because it felt like 90% durian to me.

My colleague recommended this halal Thai food place at IMM called Saap Saap Thai. They have quite a variety of items, from drinks all the way to desserts. The tom yam soup and basil chicken were very spicy! Good to cool it off with a Thai green milk tea. Average per person with drinks about $10.

To me a sign of good quality ice cream 🍦 is that it doesn't melt quickly. This can be said of the cheese & milk twist ice cream at Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory, especially in sweltering weather like ours. The sundae is one delightful bundle as you get to enjoy their cheesecake as well!

NEWLY OPENED! Highly anticipated opening of Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory 🧀 in Singapore! Now I don't have to fly to Japan to enjoy one of my favourite treats.
I had the sundae ($8.50) which comes with a choice of soft serve, cheesecake and biscuit. I went for the cheese and milk twist so I could have both flavours at once. Can't say much for the presentation but it was rich and fluffy at the same time. Am I making sense?

Being at this cafe really reminded @hungrybaker and me of Hong Kong! The food was served promptly. I was really impressed with the durian & cheese tart as it was very rich. Some people don't enjoy cooked durian but I believe they should make an exception for this. The portion of the eggs, with bolo bun and fried chicken was quite filling.
The only thing that we didn't like was sharing the table with others. If it was a normal table with movable chairs, it wouldn't that bad. However, having bench seats and being seated inside, it's quite a hassle.

Dad drove all the way to Toa Payoh so we could try this kuay chap/ duck rice stall but it's closed. Hence, we tried the Thai food stall next door. The dishes are very affordable, averaging from $4-5. Be prepared to order some drinks because your mouth will be on fire!

Checking out one-month-old Mian Jia Noodle Bar with mum on this rainy day. The pork bone soup is so thick that there is a film on top after a short while. Consequently, you have to pay an additional dollar to have a bowl of it with your dry noodles. The dry spicy noodles were quite salty and not spicy at all (even after I added more chilli). Mum enjoyed her wantons.

After the whole @ubereats_sg fiasco (on my IG story), I need something to remind me of happier times. Here's Campfire Concrete 🔥 ($7.50) from To lend a thicker consistency to the ice cream, B Burger adds egg yolks into the mix. This is then topped with Speculoos, chocolate and toasted marshmallows.
In my opinion, the marshmallows could be softer. Even for the avid dessert lover, this is so rich you need to share.

Breakfast today... The lovely tarts I got from @taicheongsg. I tried the durian & cheese tart ($3.60) at the cafe yesterday found it was SO YUMMY that I decided to buy all the tarts back. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the egg tarts as they were all sold out.
My spoils are 2️⃣ egg tarts ($1.90 each), 1️⃣ coconut tart ($2.50) and 1️⃣ durian & cheese tart. Reheating instructions: 200 degrees celcius for 5 minutes. However, it was still slightly cold inside. I had to place it back in the oven for another 5 minutes. I can safely say this is quite expensive but totally worth the money.
