The cut flower garden is in mid-summer bloom! A swarm of bees and other buzzers arrive en masse. (2) This stokesia laevis caught my eye yesterday morning. It's bud looks like a reptilian shell.

Some fun observations from gardening today. 1, I'm not sure what's brewing in these mushrooms but I'm into it. 2, the leaves on this Liriodendron are massive, reminding me of elephant feet. 3, because of the acidic soil these Hydrangea Petiolaris are planted in, they have a mixed hue of blue and pink as opposed to just pink, making for an interesting flower and bud.
