Those who know me well know that I am a fearful person. Im easily scared and I don't take too many risks. I've always wanted to be adventurous... someone who willingly steps outside my comfort zone... but I've not often had the courage to do so. So on this vacation,
I decided it was time to face one of my greatest fears: the ocean. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'll tell you what. It was the absolute best experience of my life. Filled with such beauty... with belly laughs and with confirmation of the importance of being adventurous and of doing it with the people you love. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I'm so stoked that I stepped outside of comfort. Because I realized that what is on the other side of fear, is a feeling of exhilaration and confidence and gratitude. Can't think of anything better.

My girls, @skonopisos & @akonopisos just returned from their jet-setting extravaganza in Italia and brought me some of my most favorite Peperoncini Diavoletti🌶!
I chopped up a handful of these spicy beauties and added extra virgin olive oil, sliced garlic, a couple of strips of lemon zest from the yard, a small sprig of oregano and some grey sea salt... Infuse away for a couple weeks, my pretties! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This gorge oil will then be ready to drizzle, marinate, finish and perfect anything that I add it to! Can't wait.❤️
So glad #sorellasinItaly are back in the good 'ol 🇺🇸. And even more glad that you came home bearing gifts😍

This smooth, creamy, dreamy 🥑 pesto not only tastes fabulous, it's incredibly versatile as well! Toss with your favorite pasta, serve it with freshly toasted pita bread or French baguette... or keep it festive on this #cincodemayo by enjoying every last bite with tortilla chips. It's even rockin' as a sandwich or burger condiment.... however you use it, you'll be so happy you did. It's. That. Good. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2 ripe avos
3 cups fresh spinach
1 cup fresh basil
2 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
1 cup Spanish manchego cheese, grated
1/2 cup marcona almonds
Zest of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flake
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Blend all ingredients, except olive oil, in the bowl of a food processor. Scrape down sides to incorporate ingredients evenly. Slowly add the olive oil and season with salt and pepp! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This totally rad company built me the awesomest #organic, #nonGMO garden boxes before we moved homes... going outside to pick the most beautiful and perfectly ripe herbs-of-all-sorts, tomatoes, zucchini, beets, onions, eggplant, green beans, kale, romaine, arugula and spinach was the highlight of my every afternoon! I was so super sad to leave those boxes!

Good news is, @organicsoutback is heading to our new home this week to look at the rockin' slope in our yard and to devise our three phase plan for all the vegetation and fruit trees I can imagine ... plus some possible grapevines !!!🍇

My most fave hummus of all time comes from #ChristakisGreekCuisine.... Full disclosure: I can polish off an entire order (or two) on my own. And, I have. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But I also make it at home from time to time. I know there are tons of tasty store bought options... but there's something about making something from scratch, that just tastes better♥︎
