#currentmood "your happy ending's up to you..." I freaking love this song. Whether it's shit that happened 6 months ago or 6 years ago, I've always had a hard time truly letting go. I've done some forgiveness meditations lately to forgive those in my past that have caused me pain, but I realized I forgave them a long time ago, it's myself I haven't forgiven. I haven't forgiven myself for the things I did or didn't do that were in my control, and even for the things that were out of my control. I haven't forgiven myself for having that "victim" mentality. "The past can't haunt me if I don't let it, live and learn and never forget it, gotta learn to let it go." Seriously, go listen to this song, it's very empowering💪🏻✌🏻

This was just an amazing night. So many people gathered together, united, to enjoy great music with open hearts. I had no idea I'd have as much fun, and be as open an vulnerable as I ended up being. Dan spoke so eloquently about how we weren't letting the world put any fear into our hearts, we weren't going to let our decisions be dictated by fear, we were here to have a good time! The world has been a scary place lately, but we will rise up and do whatever it takes!

Sick tea and my October @bookofthemonth on my lunch break 😊 I'm surrounded by coughing, sneezing, and general sickness at work...steamed apple juice and passion tango tea will keep that at bay right?! ☕️

Today was a pretty good day. Got to sleep in, got some needed range therapy, returned a couple lost dogs to their owner, and even made time to listen to a record and do a bit of yoga and meditation with my @simplehabitapp before bed. I've logged 247 minutes of meditation on this app so clearly I love it, it's great for quick simple mediations and long deep ones. Make some time for yourself today, even just 5 minutes of completely selfish you time, it's worth it, you're worth it.

This'll sum up day 26&27 of @yoga_girl #yogagirlchallenge #yogaeverydamnday because no yoga was done. Stomach bug that led to dehydration = trip to the ER in the middle of the night last night. My only mission today is to rest and drink fluids.

Day 25 @yoga_girl #yogaeverydamnday #yogagirlchallenge My calves are killing me from climbing chimney rock! I'm walking a little funny and taking stairs really slow. On my mat I just tried to stretch them out a bit so they don't get even tighter. It was worth it though!

Day 23 and 24 of @yoga_girl #yogagirlchallenge #yogaeverydamnday my mat was not rolled out either of these days, but there was a lot of mindfulness, breathing, and pushing myself. Climbing Chimney Rock yesterday I mentally quit at least 3 times (it was 500 stairs to get to the top!) but my wonderful motivator was there telling me I could make it, and making me rest when I pushed myself too hard. Internally I was telling myself I could do it, but my jello legs were telling another story. But we made it! And the views were incredible the entire way up. Note to self: don't wear a cotton tshirt on a hike when it's 80° outside.

Day 22 @yoga_girl #yogaeverydamnday #yogagirlchallenge hotel yoga! Taking a lovely weekend vacation in the mountains. The hotel had a perfect pillow roll to go under my knees in savasana 😊 So happy to be in the mountains, especially on the first day of fall! 🍂I did cobra for the first time in who knows how long, it felt foreign at first, but got better as I held it. So far my lower back doesn't hate me for doing it, so I'll consider that a win 👍🏻

Day 21 @yoga_girl #yogagirlchallenge #yogaeverydamnday today my practice was a 2 mile walk before work this morning. Getting outside is important for my physical and mental well being since I have an office job where I sit inside for 8 hours a day. Going to the mountains for the next 3 days, hope to spend lots of time outdoors, and more time on my mat as well.

Day 20 @yoga_girl #yogagirlchallenge #yogaeverydamnday I feel stuck. I've been getting on my mat, but I can't find that flow I used to have. I still feel very disconnected to my body, and not connected enough to my mind. I want to just get on my mat and have that a-ha moment where I just flow and everything feels great and I feel like by day 20 I should've found this, but I haven't. I'm just not there yet. My body, mind, and heart feel like they are all on different wave lengths right now and I'm trying to reign everything in to work together but either my mind is too busy, my body too tired, or my heart feeling too much. I'm gonna keep at it, nothing else I can do but keep trying.

Day 18&19 @yoga_girl #yogaeverydamnday #yogagirlchallenge yesterday and today my practice has been mindfulness and office chair yoga. Went on a 2 mile walk yesterday morning and today on lunch and went back to my meditation spot. A few minutes of sitting in silence really helps to bring my day back to a balance. Walking on my lunch break helps too, but I'm always worried about the time and making sure I get back on time and trying not to get too sweaty. My physical practice has been hamstring and hip stretches at my desk. Sometimes even the asana can be off the mat, gotta get it where you can on busy days.

Day 17! @yoga_girl #yogaeverydamnday #yogagirlchallenge 20 minutes on my mat tonight and I ventured from my usual set of lower-back-friendly poses and even did a downdog 😲with my knees very bent, but it felt good. Picture is of a traction twist I do everyday to make my psoas happy, it's usually the culprit of my lower back issues. Had a busy weekend with my first comic con, I'm tired but sooo excited for the next one. These are going to be addicting I can tell.
