One of the reasons I started playing hockey. Why I wore cooper gear. Why I wore 8 and when it was available 88.
This is why I shot right. Why I taped my stick only in the middle of the blade. This is why I used the curve I used. This is why I am a Flyers fan and have been a fan since 1995.
Thank you for being an inspiration to me an many others.
It was very sad when you retired because of your injuries.
Thank you 88.

Hopefully this image of Patrick Ewing getting blocked by Hakeem "the dream" Olajuwon is a bigger life message than a post. Hopefully the dream becomes reality.

Dan and I have been racing alleycats since 2005, where we met at Alleykitten on New Years Eve. We raced together and partied after the race. He saw me throw up beer and everything. Since then we have remained good friends. He was my favorite person to ride with and at the same time, my favorite person to compete against. Dan won a good amount of alleycats back before he turned pro and made a name for himself in the local road scene, but most importantly the impact he had in the cross scene. Especially here in the tri-state area.
Here is Dan during #tracklocross in 2008. (Ps he did not race with his messenger bag on.)

Josh aka Robot would come out to NYC races frequently. First time I met Josh was during Broadway Bomb 2007. Fixed gear, front and rear brake. This dude was fast. He raced all the big NY races, including 5 Boro Generals. Here is a portrait I took of Josh during #Tracklocross in 2008.

First Tracklocross race was very anticipated. With the "cancelled" Monstertrack (MT8) a few weeks prior, this was the next big track race. Although it was called 'TRACKLOCROSS' the organizers wanted everyone to race, so they said "all bikes welcome". Well Dave decided he wanted to win really badly and "cheated". He brought a family antique. A mono carbon Trimble MTB. Dave will tell you otherwise. He would go on to win Tracklocross 1 and 2 (the following year). #tracklocross

Some more tracklocross portraits from #sludgementday 2008.
Again. This was the first time I (Crihs) have seen track bikes being ridden on dirt (@johnprolly ). This is how I discovered cyclocross. Swipe 👈🏼 for more.

Proof that I've known Cooper during his puberty. This is a portrait I took during tracklocross in 2008. These were the first ever track bike cross races that existed (to my knowledge). They took place in Randall's Island. At this event you could race any bike. There were different categories such as MTB, single speed, gears and track.
I started racing alleycats October 29th 2005. Cranksgiving was the second alleycat I ever raced after a brutal La Calavera Halloween race. During that @cranksgiving I got hit by a car. Lost my receipt and was DQ. @fyxo won that one.
Racing cranksgiving is awesome because it's an alleycat and super market sweep all tied into won. Through the race I've developed a strategy that has paid off. The best was when Doug D would come out and we battled for 5 years, each of us alternating turns at the top step. Saturday was my 12th cranksgiving. I've managed to win 6. Hears to the best race with the best cause. All food was donated to the food bank. Shout out to the must generous (pictured with the shopping cart) who for the second time started a Go Fund Me amongst his friends and raised $700. He used that money to buy a whole lot of turkeys. Congrats to @david_august_trimble who didn't approve of my win. 😂 Dave won back in 2007. @mistermacay on getting 3rd. Also the two ladies who came in first. Mandy and @sanjwich. And lastly @austinhorse for continuing tradition and organizing the event.
Triple crown? 👑 🤔

Had a wonderful time at Bronx Cranksgiving. This was the 2nd annual race for charity. Got the W despite getting a flat on the Major Deegan. Congrats to Cassandra who is also hosting BK cranksgiving in a few weeks. Thanks to @bxmundo for hosting the event and his family and friends for helping him out. Also all the riders who came out. 📷: @bicyclebrains 📹: @mistermacay

Monstertrack 2017 was brutal. This is @kaptainkawfeepot and I getting the last manifest before heading into Brooklyn.
The 2018 race will go back to its original month of February. The weather is unpredictable, but one thing is certain. It will be cold. Flier date and sponsor list coming soon. 📷: @cmacay

I've been in a weird mood this month. If you have encountered this. I'm sorry.
In 2013 I had an amazing solo tour from #cmwclausanne to Gijon Spain. The first 4 days were brutal. Hills climbs and non stop rain. Every day I woke up I went into immediate rain. It sucked. The closer I came to Bordeaux, the sun came out. Once I entered Spain, it was more rolling hills by the coast. Not having panniers cost me as I was carrying a 35lb/15.9kg on my back. Not the smartest thing. I had planned a stop in #Bilbao for a few days. A friend told me I would love the city and they were right. I visited the #guggenheim museum which I highly recommend. Once I arrived in Gijon 9 days later, I would have traveled for a total of 8 days, 1044miles/1680km, who knows how many feet of elevation and a very sore back. Oh and one flat 90k outside of Gijon.
Friday - the only #fridaythe13thrace of the year. Come out and race. Registration - 9ish. Race at 10:13pm. Location to be announced (somewhere in midtown). Sponsored by @nevernotriding
If you would like to do a CP or would like to sponsor. Send me a message.
