Exploring the Colosseum in Rome. Wow. Great idea @belllleeeexo getting there early, was wonderful not elbowing with the masses!
Came across this immaculately restored VW bug in Rome today, so good! @tristanrizzo, I thought immediately of you! 🚗🇩🇪🇮🇹
Some pictures from our last few days in Zadar. Was such a wonderful time hanging out with family and friends, timed perfectly with mum and dad 👌 We're in Rome now; last stop. Argh!
Our boat cruising away after a gorgeous sunset a few nights ago, lights of Zadar on the right. Could definitely get used to this! ⛵ 🌇
55 years and 14,000kms couldn't keep this crazy family apart ☺️. An amazing lunch filled with laughter, reminiscing and broken English/Italian/Croatian. Xoxo
Every evening in Zadar, a crowd gathers along the riva (seafront) to watch the sun setting over the Adriatic. So good.
A clock tower and apartment block in"The People's Square", Zadar. The top row windows are of the apartment which was my father's childhood home prior to emigrating to Australia. So excited to be here! 🏫💙
Road tripping from Dubrovnik to Zadar (through a sliver of Bosnia) the other day. What a coastline!! 😍
Was a wonderful (but full on) time in Dubrovnik! Crazy hordes of people, picture perfect location nonetheless. 🏰🏖️🕶️😧🍻
Pictures are:
- looking over the wall from inside our apartment
-the rooftops from walking the wall
- Buza Bar (so good!)
- aerial view of the drinking fountain on the main street
Sunday = Beach day in Monopoli! Shoulder to shoulder tanning with the best of them. Good way to spend our last day here, next stop Dubrovnik! 🏖️🌅🕶️😍
After a wonderful few days in Sicily, we've made our way over to Monopoli, Puglia, on the east coast of Italy. A few pics from the trip:
- Bel in front of the Duomo, Syracuse Sicily
- The beach at Amendolara, Calabria
- Sandstone houses of Matera, Basilicata
- Matera at night
Exploring Sicily, found ourselves at the ancient Greek amphitheatre at Taormina (Teatro Greco di Taormina). Perched on a hill overlooking the sea, Mt Etna in the background and @belllleeeexo on stage. So good. #historynerd
After leaving the Amalfi coast (with a heavy heart), we've driven 500km to Calabria for a night's stop over on our way to Sicily. I was hoping to catch the sunset but instead caught a brief storm rolling off the Med. No complaints!
The coast here is beautiful but quiet - a pleasent change from the hustle and bustle of Positano! ⛅☔📷
Across to Isle of Capri for the day; what a gorgeous spot. Definitely worth a more extensive future visit!
The just-past-full moon rising over Positano a few nights ago. These stairs are killing me, but this view makes it all worthwhile! 🌕 🌇😍
Impossible hillside towns, never-ending rolling hills, delicious food and wine. So good. Thanks for a great week, Bagni di Luca!
The picturesque La Lima River from the piazza at Ponte A Serraglio. Definitely aperitivo time! 🍸
Exploring Bagni di Lucca, Tuscany with @n__rizzo and @belllleeeexo. Gorgeous little towns and far too much pasta! 🍷🍝 mmm mmm.
