Blessed are they who struggle to wake up. ❤️ (Agreed!)

The cabs with moon roofs can be 👌🏽👌🏽 sometimes! (I almost always avoid them because they are also piece of crap Nissans that always feel like they're going to hurl you out the back or break into pieces.) Hashtag NYC living. Hashtag crazy town.

Two months ago, my dad's heart just... stopped. (Turns out his electrical system needed a boost. ⚡️⚡️) Thanks to a couple of super smart ❤️doctors, they managed to install a pacemaker and then correct the issues caused by the surgery. This week, he went back to work! While I hope that someday very soon he has an awesome retirement, for now he's thrilled to be back at the office, and we're all so relieved and delighted to see him getting back to his typically vibrant self. ✨🙏👏🏽💖⚡️(Isn't he adorable?!)

Today I got to do a mercury chelation test, where I swallowed twenty of these bad boys, to try to "provoke" some of the toxic mercury and other heavy metals out of my system. I also had a rad craniosacral session today and I'm doing completely fine, but "modern" medicine is so medieval sometimes, amirite? #radioactive

Trying to teach myself to use monkey's DSLR camera. Still in the mode of "Oh! How did I do that?!" but I did manage to get some good shots last night, even if I have no idea how. 😜#nofilter

This movie is called "Eduardo: King of Brooklyn" and it features a old pup called Eddie who gets rescued from abuse and neglect in South Carolina and moves to the big city, where he gets in touch with his own dignity again, and learns to stop and smell the garbage. 🎬🐶

I had a skin cancer tumor removed yesterday. ("The good kind," basal cell carcinoma.) I'm currently trying to understand my new relationship to the life-giving sun, one of the touchstones of my existence—and to come to terms with the fact that the unchecked, unexplained inflammation that's plagued me for years likely contributed to me getting skin cancer in my thirties. (It usually happens decades later.) These aren't my favorite things to ponder, but I'm still finding peace and solace at the shore. ☀️

I'm still in awe about how much deep affection I have for my entire class of fellow meditation teacher trainees. ✨ These two beautiful humans have definitely thrown my heart wide open. 💖

My home away from home. 💫 This weekend's meditation teacher training retreat is focused on working with diverse communities. 🙌🏽

One of the nicest things that monkey has ever said to me is that we're "her people" and that she's most comfortable at home. 💖 This was a tough week for me, healthwise, so Friday family night is just what the proverbial doctor ordered. #outtakes

Had an absolutely lovely time at PC Magazine today talking about #wearables + #mindfultech with EIC Dan Costa. Podcast out in a few weeks. Thanks for recommending me, @jodify. 🙌🏽

Inspired by my sis @corikindred, I am sharing my fave estate sale find from this past summer: this amazing outsider art of Abraham Lincoln that @joshclark discovered for our cottage. I think Abe would have fought with us for LGBQT+ equality, don't you? 🎩🌈

So.... anyone have any personal or first-hand experience with mercury toxicity? In other news; don't eat too many of those big fish, friends! 🐟 #heavymetal
