My persistence is relentless. For months, hell years, but mainly months, I've been working on handstands and just trying to maintain balance through my entire body. My thought process is if I can do it from my feet I should be able to balance on hands. Today I actually held my handstands for 16secs straight. A significant increase in time from only being able to hold it for 3 to 5secs before falling. This vid of me is my 2nd handstand attempt, and even tho I stumbled a lil I held that bish like a G for the most part. Getting stronger and better one day at a time.

Inverted Pull-Ups/Australian Pull-Ups (w/close grip) - 10 reps at a steady pace, then 10 reps at a slower pace ( 3 second eccentric contractions for time under tension) followed up by a 30 second hold under the bar. 💪🏾3 to 4 sets

Pointers on this is to not let your thoracic spine, scapular muscles, back muscles, be laxed or weak through the entire set. Keep you back muscles active and engaged the whole time.

Hook Grip Latt Pull-Downs - 10 to 12 reps in a minute or for however long it takes until the minute is up. Case in point don't chase a number, chase EFFORT. If you did 8 or 18 reps it really doesn't matter as long as you do this exercise for 1 minute straight. 💪🏾 3 to 4 sets

Pointers here are go wide grip, hook your fingers over the bad but not your thumb. Pull/retract your shoulder blades to keep the shoulders protected, and pull the bar driving the elbows down toward floor (important). Control the bar, coming up, for a maximum effect.

It can't all be about weight-uplifting or muscle-up-dipping. Sometimes you just gotta switch it up and set the mood lol. Welp, I'm in the mood for Pilates aka Pie'lates as I like to call it. Nothing like Pilates to really get the abs screaming on a Wednesday afternoon. Oh God....it hurts soooooo good!!!!

Some people ask me "Why handstands", and my reply is why not. The significance is development of excellence! An excellence that is still yet challenging to me but I want to achieve it, because it's not easy - it's hard. Hard work. Here's my struggle. It ain't perfect but I will make it better.

Handstand I will learn you, balance I will gain, strength I will get more of, and I will continue this journey. Failure is inevitable but from it I'm still learning. Such a heinous act of violence. Senseless. Cowardly. Hateful. My heart and prayers go out not only to Vegas but the people, families, and friends affected by this horrible incident. So many people lost their lives...smh. So many people that will never get to see their loved ones again, be able to say I love you, or even say a proper goodbye. It's just devastating.
