Cliche caption about the time change and sleep and the sun going down later and new beginnings and spring and the Easter Bunny and all of it being a giant metaphor for something happening in my life *peace sign emoticon* *black heart emoticon*
With @emilylouiseschwartz , which is one of my favorite photos I’ve taken by the way.
This tree photo brought to you by the letter “L”....or perhaps Gandalf’s pipe. -
If you look closely, you’ll see someone painted the tree silver. Which is cool, I guess. Photo with @emilylouiseschwartz ✌🏼
I have a habit of the “okay just a few more and we’re done” syndrome during shoots. Might have said that about a billion times with @courtneyy_gilbert but I guess that’s a good sign, right? You start realizing the light is better and better and you and the photog/model are pretty comfortable with each other by that point Anyone else guilty of getting too in the zone during shoots and having a hard time calling it quits?
Choose your fav in the series! I want to know what captures your eye and why 🤓✌🏼
Here’s a nice little succession of photos from my shoot with @emilylouiseschwartz, where she became one with nature. Pick your favorite and let me know below!

OSCARS ARE HAPPENING. I can honestly say this is the first year I’ve really gotten into the festivities, but I’ve got my salted brownies in reaching distance and my ballot up on the side monitor. Slightly loyal to Baby Driver for sound, but thinking Dunkirk will sweep.

Fro back Friday to getting lost in Hotel Del with the queen of cool hats, @lo_esparza ✌🏼
Scroll right for sand. Just a bunch of sand. Photos are probably grainy.

Just watched a cool movie called “People You May Know” on Netflix about the fabrication of our lives on social media in order to make people think we have everything under control. So I’m here to say with the most honesty and transparency that I really do eat as many donuts as I post on my stories. Nothing is a lie. #DonutDiaries

One day my beard will flow like this. And then I will start a company that sells beanies for beards. It will be called Beardies. Or Beanrds. Or Facial Flair. Your guess is as good as mine. If you have a better idea, throw it in the comment below and I’ll half-heartedly laugh at it.

I’ve only eaten 4 donuts today, but I’ve edited 64 photos! I’d consider today a win. Time to start Harry Potter over from the beginning and start a new pot of Covfefe.

Salton Sea. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
Bonus points if you get my movie reference. In all seriousness, this place is beautiful in the most gross way. 50% water, 100% death. More bone than sand. Makes for cool drone shots, though 🤘🏼, so I thank the fish for their sacrifices.
2018 has been a pretty big change already. I’ve been stepping out of my bubble more to meet new people and put myself in photograph-based situations. Thank you to everyone that has supported my donut habits (#TheHaul) and accepted my transition from landscapes to portraits 🤘🏼
If you follow my “Hauls” on Insta Stories, give me a few 🍩🍩🍩 in the comments!

When life gives you mirrors, hold a balloon. Or something.
Spent some time today in a sweet studio for a work video shoot and it makes me want to get a loft of my own. Anyone know a place in San Diego for under ten dollars a year?
I have to admit @emilylouiseschwartz was even more outgoing than I was on our impromptu shoot last weekend. She’s one of the most positive people I’ve ever met and it carries over into her work.
Help me pick a favorite out of these three for a chance to win my eternal gratitude!

Wispy clouds and stubborn sands brought to you by the DJI Phantom 4 at the Salton Sea.
*insert casual fade from warm to cool tones so I can post a blue photo tomorrow*
