Are you SAD in the Winter or SAD in the Summer ? We live in the most beautiful area ,surrounded by majestic Cedars. The sun shines high up in the cedars but not down where I am, as you can see from the shadow of the house ;) Being in the shade for months on end with dull days and a ton of rain I tend to get SAD. It's up to us in how we deal with SAD, myself, I exercise, even more when I start to feel lethargic , this is when I need to exercise the most. Walking, Yoga, Pilates, Cardio all seem to lesson the feeling of SAD. You sometimes just have to make yourself do it ! -Get exercise. Physical activity may help reduce the symptoms of S.A.D. Consider walking, jogging, swimming, gardening, or any other physical activity. - It's important to get a good dose of sleep nightly, try some meditative music at bedtime, or have a soothing bath or shower. It tends to be easier to deal with life when you've had a good nights rest. - Feed yourself well. Not with junk foods but with beautiful fresh foods. The better the fuel, the better your body will perform. Make sure that your getting your Omega's -Women are up to eight times as likely as men to report having S.A.D. -S.A.D. tends to run in families — most individuals with S.A.D. have at least one close relative with a history of depression. -Pay attention to the warning signs. Find out what triggers your S.A.D. -Make a plan so that you know what to do if your symptoms get worse.
- Contact your doctor or therapist if you notice any changes.
- Ask friends or family to watch out for warning signs.

Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a mood disorder subset in which people who have normal mental health throughout most of the year exhibit depressive symptoms at the same time each year, most commonly in the winter. People may sleep too much or have little energy.
Can you believe that some people suffer from SAD in the Summer months too
