Sunday goodness. 🥕
I have wanted a tattoo for awhile now but just couldn't settle on what I wanted. And being that a tattoo is a permanent fixture, I needed to be 100% sure in my choice. I had one thing in mind that I was pretty sure I was going to get (and still might!) but it was mostly fun and didn't mean anything (which is ok).
However when I was in Nashville last month, I went to a church there and the pastor was talking about flourishing with what you're doing now with eternity in mind (your's and others). Of course I have heard pastors preach on eternity a million times - this isn't anything new. We use the saying "think eternity" a lot at CCC, which has always helped me to try and keep things in perspective when I become overwhelmed or weighed down with day-to-day life.
But then the pastor talked about this story of a man, Arthur Stace, in Australia in the 1940s who was a former criminal and alcoholic, and mostly illiterate. He became a Christian and spent the next 20ish years until his death writing the word "eternity" all over Sydney in perfect script. For the most part, his identity wasn't revealed until after he died (although some thought it was him) but it's estimated he wrote the word a half million times throughout the city.
I loved that story and that even though he became a Christian later in life, he devoted the time he had left to sharing what he thought was the most important thing for people to be thinking about. The pastor then showed a picture of Stace's "eternity" and I just knew right away that's what I wanted. Not just because I like the story behind the design of the word but also to have a. a reminder to "think eternity" and b. a permanent reminder of the price that was paid so that I can have eternity.
Today is the 12th anniversary of my first #PearlJam show so I celebrated accordingly. 😉 #letsplaytwo

If you know me, you know I have a heart for Las Vegas. Praying for this city and it's people tonight.

For what it's worth, I tried to be healthy last night and order the fish tacos but they were out of them. So... yeah. 🤷🏻‍♀️🍔🍟 #ilovefries
My life feels slightly more complete now that I've finally been to Pinewood Social. 😆🍔🎳 #latergram
