When I’m not run run running, blog blog blogging (or snack snack snacking!) I’m keg keg kegging my way through life🍺
.
Got to explore one of @kegstar_europe warehouses today to learn more about kegs. Not gonna lie though, kinda wanted to just run around them and make myself a keg obstacle course* Anyone else think that sounds fun? 🤪
.
*Do not actually try this at home. You will die ☠️

... because we are all made of stars
Marathon training is a go-go! Inspired by my Sister @lovejenuine and her early start yesterday (as she begins training for her first half marathon) I woke up at 5.45am this morning to be in Regents park running a 10K by 7.15am wearing a trillion layers, brrrr 😳
.
I’m not even sure what marathon I’m training for. Initially I was supposed to be doing Barcelona in March, but I’m worried I’ve left it too late. Or do we think eight weeks is enough to train considering it’s my third marathon in a year and I’ve consistently been running and working out since my last? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thoughts? Help? Advice?

Moving can be such a serious pain the arse; the packing, the heavy lifting, the van loading, the realising how much crap you have in your life 🙈
.
Fortunately @costacoffee breaks over girl talk makes it a whole lot nicer. And don’t worry, mine was a soy latte as I’m still very much doing Veganuary #HannahBananaGoesVegan #Day14
I started running in 2015 in this very park, Gladstone Park. This is where I took my first steps to becoming a runner. It’s where I trained for my first 10K, my first half marathon and my second marathon 🏃🏻‍♀️
.
I’ve lived in this area for almost nine years and have loved it, but tomorrow I’m saying goodbye and moving onwards (and hopefully upwards). So today was my last official run as a resident of WillyG 👋🏻
.
I’m sure I’ll still be running here from time to time when I visit the wife @emajoyc but for now I’m raising my cup of coffee to Gladstone Park, thanks for providing me with my very own gorgeous training ground 🌳

Back to the daily grind after a whole weekend of double trouble with this one. We literally spent our entire weekend together blogging, running, giggling (and some drinking - obvs) 🍷
.
I’ve only got one week left living with the girl who has become my wife and I’m pretty gutted about that. She’s been my rock the past few months and even after great weekends like this one, she’s still there for me when my anxiety tries to ruin it all and I have an unnecessary anxiety attack like I did last night, she’s always there reassuring me that everything will be fine. Love you @emajoyc ❤️
.
In other news, this photo was taken on Saturday when I was hungover and had just ran 3.5 miles with Em .... how the heck have we managed to look so bloody fresh??

The best (and the absolute worst!) of my Veganuary meals so far have just gone up #ontheblog Featuring delicious food from @paradise_unbakery and a rather revolting potato bake that I attempted to make 🙈
.
Head to HannahBanana.uk to read the post and get some vegan lunch inspo #HannahBananagoesVegan
To caption this image I was about to write ‘I survived my first ever spin class.’ But then most of you would just assume I had survived the physical side of it (although yay me for doing that, because it was bloody tough). But the best and hardest part of that class today was getting myself there! 🙌🏻
.
I know I’ve moaned on here this week about not being able to go to this class this week, but want to know how long I’ve really wanted to go?? Six weeks! And every week I’ve found some stupid excuse not to go 👎🏻
.
I’ve convinced myself I’m too tired, too busy, haven’t eaten enough, won’t get there in time, would rather run ... soooo many excuses 🙄
.
But deep down it was my horrible anxiety, leaving me with knots in my stomach everytime I tried to go, something telling me not to do it. I was too scared. I hate that I’m a fully functioning adult and yet I still feel like a child sometimes when it comes to everyday social situations 🤦🏻‍♀️
.
Enough was enough. I used all my strength to ignore the knots in my stomach today and I marched down to @fitnessfirsttcr to attend the Spin class I’ve wanted to do for so long and it was absolutely brilliant 🚴🏻‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️
.
I loved the instructor, I loved the pumping music, I loved being on the bike, I loved it all ❤️
.
In 2017 I let my anxiety get the better of me. But not this year! 2018 is going to be the year I do what I want 💪🏻
.
P.S. I look rigid & frizzy haired in this photo because oh me gee this class really was 😓😓😓😅😅😅

Last nights dinner (which I’ve also made for today’s lunch) is by far the best #Veganuary meal I’ve made yet 🌮
.
Wrap • Hummus • Red & White Quinoa • Cherry Tomatoes • Spinach • Yellow Peppers • Olives • Paprika • Pepper - All ingredients @aldiuk 🥙
.
I didn’t think I would be too keen, but the quinoa and hummus absolutely makes it and it’s the perfect size👌🏻
.
I’m looking forward to devouring this after my lunchtime spin class (which I’m slightly terrified about cos it’s my first ever spin and what if Im crap and totally unfit and do a Bridget Jones and fall off or just slump over the bike) 🚴🏻‍♀️🙈

Today was supposed to be my first run of 2018 plus I was supposed to go to my first ever Spin class at my @fitnessfirsttcr gym 🚴🏻‍♀️
.
BUT it seems that dam vegan cheese I scoffed got the better of me and instead I had to deal with an upset tummy 🥥🧀🤢
.
I haven’t ran since last week, last year in fact, and it’s giving me all the anxious feels. Hoping tomorrow to head to the gym, smash a workout and fit in a swim too 🏊‍♀️
.
In other news, it’s day 4 of #HannahBananaGoesVegan and tonight Matthew, I’m feeling the Hummus!🍴
Day 3 of #HannahBananaGoesVegan and my chocolate cravings became so intense I had to go on a #veganchocolate hunt on my way home 🌱🍫🙈
.
Fortunately I wandered into @waitrose where (after picking up some bananas, obvs 🍌) I found a whole section of stuff I was looking for. Good news for my sugar cravings. Bad news for my bank balance .... being a vegan is expensive! 💸💸💸

Yo Yo Yo! A very (belated) Happy New Year to you all and Merry #Veganuary 🎉🥝
.
Today’s marks Day Two of #HannahBananaGoesVegan (if you have no idea what I’m talking about or want to know why I would do this to myself, check out my latest blog post - direct link in bio) 🥕
.
So far all is going well. I feel quite hungry but I think that’s because I’m used to eating sooooo much sugar, and it turns out sugar is not vegan friendly🐄😭 so yeah going #vegan for 30 days could prove harder than I thought and I’m pretty sure I’ll be having the sugar withdrawals in a matter of hours 😳
.
BUT I’m still feeling very very positive about Veganuary👌🏻 Check out my IG story to see what dairy alternatives I’ve discovered and to check out what today’s meals, snacks and drinks have been like ... and my very first attempt at #Vegancooking 🥦🌶

Thoughts as we leave 2017 behind and dive head first into 2018 🤔➡️ LET GO ... of the mistakes, of all the bad, of all the toxic people, and prepare yourself to start fresh 🙌🏻

I couldn’t possibly leave Liverpool without doing a little run along the canal that I used to train by ... unfortunately I couldn’t get to said canal because of giant puddles like this one (it’s deeper than it looks) 🌧☔️

#TBT There have been two huge themes of 2017 for me: Mental Health is the first and my Marathons are the second 🏃🏻‍♀️
.
Just look at my #2017bestnine - it’s clear to see that Running has played a huge role over the past 12 months of my life. But look closer and you can see that all of these images, bar one, are from the second half of 2017. I believe that’s because the first half of this year was such a struggle for me 🤐
.
I’ve just shared a post #ontheblog about my year of Mental Health & Marathons, explaining in detail what I went through and how I literally ran myself back to life ❤️

Two years gone, but never ever forgotten. The coolest cowboy in Liverpool. Christmas just isn’t the same without this guy around, or his daughter Catherine, my aunty. Missing and thinking of them always ❤️

Good Morning - Happy Boxing Day 🎁 I had plans to go for a little run this morning, especially because it’s such a gorgeous day. But the smell of bacon came wafting from the kitchen, and I couldn’t resist. Now I’m sat in a post-bacon slump with a cup of tea! Ah well, it’s Christmas 🥓☕️

Today’s run marks my third year in a row running on Christmas Day - I think I can officially class it as a Crimbo tradition for me🏃🏻‍♀️🎄
.
After a hectic Christmas morning (including a much needed nap by 10.45am) I headed out for a little three miler to break up the day and prepare me for an afternoon of turkey eating & Prosecco drinking. Bring on the Christmas Dinner🍴

Happy Christmas Eve from me and @lovejenuine This is my first official Christmas down South and my Sisters house is perfectly festive and cosy🍷🎄
.
I’m FINALLY in the Christmas Spirit. I’ve got my new Christmas PJ’s on (Thanks Mum) a Christmas drink in one hand, a fist full of celebrations in the other and I’m watching ‘A Muppets Christmas Carol’ my fave festive film ... this is already turning out to be a lovely Christmas ❤️
.
BUT, I know that not everyone out there is having a great time right now. In fact Christmas can be one of the hardest times of the year for some people. It most certainly was for me last year. I felt utterly lost and lonely and not myself.
.
If ANYONE is currently feeling that way this year, please DM me and we can chat. I reached out to a fellow instagrammer last Christmas and it really helped. Why have this huge online community if we aren’t going to help each other? 🤷🏻‍♀️
.
Wishing every single one of you a Healthy/Happy Christmas 🎄

Two more sleeps until Christmas and I still have presents to buy, gifts to wrap and a suitcase to pack 🤦🏻‍♀️
.
This year I’ve felt a bit detached from Christmas: I haven’t done any of my usual Christmas traditions, like drinking mulled wine, putting up a tree or watching ‘A Muppets Christmas Carol’ 172 times🍷
.
BUT I did enjoying eating these delicious Christmas cupcakes with my colleagues yesterday (Thanks @austranslogistics ) Does that count as a festive activity? 😏
.
I’m planning to wrap all my prezzies later and might pop on some Shakin’ Stevens to get me in the Christmas mood 🎁 🎅🏻
