Steve Watson, Maricopa County School Superintendent, visited Leslie Spector's class at Madison Heights Elementary. He provided the students with 30 Nexus tablets to learn and grow in their Spanish immersion environment.
The students and Ms. Spector won a social media contest through the Maricopa County School Superintendent's office.

We are hosting our annual Discover Madison Tour on Thursday, November 9, 2017, for families interested in learning more about the kindergarten programs at Madison Camelview, Madison Simis, Madison Rose Lane, Madison Heights, and Madison Traditional Academy.

The tour will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Madison District Office Governing Board Room, 5601 N. 16th Street, Phoenix, 85016. Attendees will board the school bus and visit each of Madison's elementary schools to receive a guided tour by the principal and learn more about each school. The tour includes a luncheon at the District Office and will conclude by noon.

Congratulations to Lisa Vaaler, a science teacher at Madison No. 1 who was recognized as an Arizona Diamondbacks Most Valuable Teacher at the game on August 25.
The D Backs MVT program is a grant for which students, parents, and fellow teachers nominate an educator that goes above and beyond in the class room.
