Dear me,

2017 was quite a good year for you. Now you're on the 7th day of 2018, and unexpectedly you survived rather smoothly. I know the last 2 months have been rough on you, but keep going. I know you kind of hate it when people put too much trust and responsibilities on you because you feel like you're going to disappoint them at some point. Which then cause you to work too hard just so you can reach some "goals" in life. Just so you won't disappoint them or just because you want to prove a point or hate losing. You really need to stop thinking like that, buddy. God knows how your physical health have deteriorated last year. This year I hope you treat your health better, mentally and physically. It's okay to be ambitious, but please don't push yourself too hard. I hope you get a bit more relax in doing everything and got to do things you love leisurely. I hope you do the things that you always said to comfort your loved ones and give a break to yourself some more. You don't like doing resolution, but let's do one this year. Let's live a more relaxed and happy life in 2018 😊
I didn't realized that it's been a week since my last post 😂 I'm back to do another tag, and this one is #anythingbutbooks by the wonderful @ann_ch4 and @dblueholic ❤️ I decided to do this one since I feel like I did anything except reading this whole week 🙈 🔸
🦋 Favorite cartoon? Futurama.
🐞 Favorite song right now? Mic Drop (Remix) by BTS feat. Steve Aoki.
🦋 Something you can do for hours other than reading? Painting and binge-watching tv series. 🐞 Favorite hobbies/interests other than reading? Singing and painting.
🦋 Favorite fandom to learn about? Sarah J. Maas fandom.
🐞 Your most recent project? A fanart of Suga from BTS.
🦋 Something you think about often? The next stage of my life.
🐞 Something most people don't know about you? I hate raisins.
🦋 Name one oddly specific thing you love? French fries dipped in vanilla soft ice cream 🍟❤️🍦
That's all! Tagged or not feel free to do this fun tag too 😆
It's been a while since I do #socksunday post. I might need to purchase more socks since I misplaced/lost them so often 😂 How's your Sunday folks? I spend today mostly reading 'Because You Love to Hate Me'. I'm trying to finished it today so I can focus on 'Station Eleven'. I'm already half way through it, so I believe I can pull through 👊
Today I'm going to do #bookishthisorthat tagged by @ann_ch4 and @kricket_ashryver_of_kazan Thanks for tagging me, lovelies ❤️
✨Reading on the couch or bed? BED.
✨Male or female main character? Both as long as they're not 2 dimensional and have many layers in personality.
✨Sweet or salty snacks? Both. Depends on the mood, I guess.
✨Trilogies or Quartets? I'm okay either way. As long as they're good.
✨First person or third person POV? THIRD PERSON. It gives more perspectives to the story.
✨Reading in the morning or at night? NIGHT.
✨Libraries or bookstores? Bookstores. There are no great library near where I live.
✨Books that make you laugh or cry? Both in one book. Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas is the perfect example.
✨Character or plot driven? Hmmmmmm. I would say both, but I'm leaning a bit more to character.
Okay, that's all folks. Tagged or not feel free to do it 😀
Hey bookish peeps, how's your Saturday? I mostly stay in bed because I'm still recovering from a horrible panic and asthma attack yesterday. I'm trying to stay out from things that stressed me out so I spend a lot of my time today on youtube. Maybe I'll read something before I go to bed later.
This post is also to fulfill #namethetranslator
tag from @ann_ch4 Thanks for tagging me, Ann 😘

In my opinion, Labodalih Sembiring done a really great job in translating Eka Kurniawan's Man Tiger from Indonesian to English. I have to be honest this is the best Indonesian to English book I've ever read. If you guys have any favorite Indonesian book that has been translated to English, don't hesitate to hit me up. I'll put it on my TBR list 😉

Good morning from this side fo earth! 🌄
It might be a little bit too late but congratulations to uncle @rickriordan and The Ship of The Dead for winning Goodreads Choice Award this year! I voted for it and I'm so happy and proud of my children Magnus and Alex 😭❤ #FIERROCHASE
I'm so sad that this series has come to an end, and I will miss all the wonderful characters in it. On the other hand, we know that with uncle Rick there's always a possibility for a sequel, so... *finger crossed*
How about you guys, any of your favorites come as a winner this year?
I'm also completing #addictiveseries tag from @ann_ch4 Thanks for the tag, Ann! 😘 I'm not tagging anyone in this one, but feel free to do it if you want to 😊

Hey ho! How's your Tuesday? I just (finally) finished The Complete Poems and Tales of Edgar Allan Poe. Though Poe is my favorite classic author/poet, I only give it 4⭐ since there are some poems and stories/essays that don't leave strong impressions on me.
Today I'm going to do #7bookishsins from @heretherebeareader and @kricket_ashryver_of_kazan Thanks for tagging me ❤
- Gluttony: A book you devoured ➡ Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas
- Greed: A book you don't lend ➡ My Target and B&N Exclusive editions of Sarah J. Maas' Empire of Storms
- Sloth: A book sitting on your shelf unread ➡ Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
- Lust: A box set ➡ The Hunger Games Trilogy - Wrath: A disappointing book ➡ Frog Music by Emma Donaghue
- Envy: A book you like to live in ➡ Warcross by Marie Lu
- Pride ➡ The prettiest Book on your shelf: The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe

Hello lovely bookish people, after a month of "hiatus" I am finally ready to come back and posting on bookstagram again. I have so much books to read and so many things I want to post and talk to you guys, and I'm so excited to be back on this month! 😆 I'm not going to participate on any prompts though, but I will get on some tags. So many of you have tagged me to do a bunch of exciting tags and I can't wait to jump on it 🤗
Since this is a comeback post, I'm going to start with some simple tags 😁:
- #latestbookpurchase by @ann_ch4
- #recentlybought by @heretherebeareader and
- #newbook by @amelianc
Thank you so much for tagging me! 😘
Warcross is actually my second to last book purchase. My latest book purchase is actually Heir of Fire but that one has been a disaster and I have decided that I'm going to return that, so that doesn't count 😛 Anyway, I can't stop adoring that rainbow cover 😍🌈 I was actually planned to buy the paperback but then I saw this rainbow hardcover and I just need to get it 😂

One day late, but here's my October Wrap Up. I couldn't finished all my TBR, but I still read some pretty great books so that's okay. Last month I read: - Snow and Rose by Emily Winfield Martin (5⭐)
- Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith (3⭐)
- I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter by Erika L. Sanchez (4⭐)
- Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury (4.7⭐) My favorite read is "Rose and Sbow" and "Something Wicked This Way Comes" 💕
I don't think I'll do any challenge this month, since I'm determined to read more books. I might even take a little break from bookstagram but we'll see...
QOTD: What's your favorite read last month?

#FanaticalBirdOctober Day 31: "Scariest Book You've Read" (It's Halloween!). Anything by Junji Ito. Swear to God, those books created some nightmares that I wish I'd never have again. Btw, I'm skipping Day 30 for now, since I'm still trying to finished Season of Secrets by Sally Nicholls and I'm determined to finished it before midnight 💪 Wish me luck! 😀

Day 29 of #FanaticalBirdOctober is "October Haul". I'm on a book buying diet until maybe the end of this year. But then again I'm pretty suck when it comes to commitments so... 😂😂😂
I'm still waiting for two more books to arrive and one of them is a birthday gift from a friend, since next month is my birthday. Though I'm not sure if it's gonna be here on time for my birthday because International shipping took a loooong time 😂

#FanaticalBirdOctober Day 28: "Favourite Villain". One of my all time favourite is The Jackal from Red Rising trilogy. So cunning and so evil, I love to hate him.
Speaking of favorite villain, I watch Thor: Ragnarok today and I really like Hela. Also, this is maybe the best Thor movie and definitely my most favourite of the three. Taika Waititi really nailed it this time 👌

How is your Saturday? I ended up laying on my bed doing nothing other than listening to some music because this migraine just keep coming back. But it's getting better bow, so I think I'm going to do something fun. Haven't decide what yet, maybe watch Strange Things or read some books. I hope you guys have a better Saturday than mine 😊
Day 27 of #FanaticalBirdOctober is "Paranormal Book". 🔸

Good morning from this side of earth! Waking up with a migraine is not a good way to start my Saturday. Well at least coffee helps to ease it a bit ☕
Day 26 of #FanaticalBirdOctober is "Witches or Wizards". This post makes me want to listen and sing to Wicked album. Weirdly enough I found that singing and listening to some music always ease my migraine. So I think I'm going to do that now, toodles!

“I just feel like it’s unfair, that my whole life is unfair, like I was born into the wrong place and family. I never feel like I belong anywhere.”
Hullo guys, I'm back with another book review. As usual you can read my full review on my blog, the link is on my bio 😉
Synopsis: Julia Reyes loves to write, and she always dreams of moving out from her parents’ house, go to college and see the world. But that’s not how a ‘Perfect Mexican Daughter’ supposed to be. ‘Perfect Mexican Daughters’ do not go away to college and move out of their parents’ house. They’re never abandon their family, they dedicated their life for their family like Julia’s older sister – Olga. But her sister Olga is dead and Julia’s family has been shattered to pieces. Julia’s mother channel her grief into pointing out every possible way Julia has failed, and compare her to Olga. No on in her family seems to acknowledge that Julia is broken by this tragedy too. But then Julia found out that Olga hides another life from her family, another personality that she never shows to any of her family member. Julia then determined to find out if there’s more to her sister story while dealing with not being a ‘Perfect Mexican Daughter.’
I'm not even a Mexican and yet this book hits so close to home. I found lots of similarity between Julia and my younger self. This is definitely a great book to pick if you’re looking for a raw and more on the dark side diverse YA book, I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter might be one of the best book to pick. Reading Julia’s journey in this book makes me understand why this book has been long-listed for National Book Award for Young People Literature in USA this year. It’s a gripping book filled with diversity, angst, grief and great human relationship depiction.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me a digital copy of this book in exchange of unbiased review.

I just got home and the first thing I do is teaching my brother how to play Werewolf and it seems like he really likes it. We'll probably play it with our cousins on the next family gathering 😁
QOTD: What games or sports do you like to play with your family?
#FanaticalBirdOctober Day 24: "Orange Book".

Day 25 of #FanaticalBirdOctober is "currently reading". I'm currently switching between these two books. At this point I don't think I'll be able to finished all my October TBR because work has been such an itch-bay 😂

#FanaticalBirdOctober Day 22: "I'd like to cosplay as". This Halloween I'd like to cosplay as an iconic character from Coraline. I think I'll only do some make up and face painting though, since I don't think I have the clothes that match this character 😂

Day 21 of #FanaticalBirdOctober is "Page 21"
It's been a super lazy Sunday for me. I should be finishing a book review but I become a blanket burrito instead and reading Yoshihara Yuki's mangas 😂 I got to snap some pictures for bookstagram though, so yay for me? 🙌

Day 20 of #FanaticalBirdOctober is "Bloody Read" and I think Battle Royale is perfect for it.
How's your Saturday folks? I'm starting Something Wicked This Way Come today and really enjoy it so far. This book is pretty dark and poetic, and it's pretty much my cup of tea ❤ 🔸
QOTD: As we're getting closer to Halloween, do you have certain spooky books you're planning to read?
