Said to be the highest mountain route in Ireland, Conor Pass provides walkers, drivers and cyclists with some of the most spectacular views one could imagine. The stretch of road runs for approximately 5km and while this doesn’t sound too challenging it's a steep climb to undertake! Situated in County Kerry’s Dingle Bay area it's a must-see for those exploring Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. 📸(@cianryan92) #loveireland #ireland #irlande #irlanda #irland #wildatlanticway #conorpass #dingle #mountain #views #discoverireland

Sligo, also known as Yeats Country, is unarguably one of Ireland’s most naturally beautiful counties. Pictured here jutting out into Atlantic waters is Strandhill. Standing on this rugged beauty you can soak up the views of Knocknarea, the alleged burial site of the legendary Queen Maeve, as well as the always breathtaking Ben Bulben mountain. Can you think of a better way to spend an afternoon? 📸 (@brubio1111) #loveireland #ireland #irland #irlande #irlanda #sligo #strandhill #wildatlanticway #yeats #visitireland #discoverireland #instaireland

Overlooking Lough Foyle from the Gortmore viewpoint you’ll find the statue of the sea God, Manannan Mac Lir. This popular spot along the Binevenagh Loop is perfect for photographs and picnics. If you are lucky and you visit under clear skies, you can spot parts of Donegal as well as the Islay and Jura islands off the coast of Scotland. Who’s ready for a hike? 📸 (@rory_mullan) #loveireland #ireland #northernireland #irlanda #irlande #irland #discoverireland #statue #views #causewaycoastalroute

Fancy standing at the very edge of the world? At the Slieve League Cliffs in County Donegal, you'll be almost 2,000 feet above the swirling Atlantic Ocean. At almost three times higher than Ireland's famous Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, they're a sight to savour! On the way to the viewing gallery, watch out for stones marking out the word 'Éire' - they were used as a navigation aid for aircraft during WWII. And as you reach the gallery, words will probably fail to capture the majesty and sheer height of the cliffs. With twirling seabirds flying overhead and nothing but crisp blue ocean before you, it really does feel like you're at the very edge of the world. It's a feeling you'll get at plenty of other spots along Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way. Enjoy! 📸(@declan.purcell) #loveireland #ireland #irland #irlande #irlanda #discoverireland #visitireland #slieveleagues #cliffs #donegal #wildatlanticway #instaireland

Welcome to the mighty Banagher Glen and Altnaheglish Reservoir in Northern Ireland. This impressive reservoir is not just a pretty picture, but a practical necessity for nearby towns and villages who rely on it for their water supply. Here, you can enjoy a 14 km circular walk through one of Ireland’s oldest oak woodlands where you’ll catch glimpses of the majestic Sperrin Mountains nearby. Doesn’t it look so peaceful? 📸 (@emmet_doherty) #loveireland #ireland #northernireland #irlande #irlanda #irland #discovernorthernireland #visitnorthernireland #forest #walks #reservoir #sperrins

Blackhead Lighthouse sits on the north shore entrance to Belfast Lough in County Antrim. The lighthouse was completed in 1902 and became hugely important in guiding marine traffic coming to and from the busy shipyards in Belfast, including the ill-fated Titanic. Up until 1975, the house was occupied by professional light keepers but today you can rent it out for a weekend by the cliffs. Imagine waking up to those views every morning! 📸(@evan_shelly) #loveireland #ireland #irland #irlande #irlanda #discoverireland #discovernorthernireland #northernireland #lighthouse #cliffs #views

In Ireland’s most south-westerly point, this curved bridge crosses over the wild Atlantic Ocean waves connecting mainland Cork to the historic Mizen Head Signal Station. You’ll often find clusters of seals below this iconic structure or perhaps you’ll spot dolphins or humpback whales if you’re lucky enough! The panoramic views offered here are like no other and are a true testament to the beauty associated with Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. 📸(@fabzon_photography) #loveireland #ireland #irland #irlande #irlanda #cork #mizenhead #views #discoverireland #visitireland #history

This fascinating 18th century ruin is Downhill House in Northern Ireland. Once a great building home to the Earl of Bristol, crumbling ruins are all that remain of the estate today. A short walk from here you’ll find one of Northern Ireland’s most recognised landmarks, Mussenden Temple, clutching the jagged cliffs overlooking the wild Atlantic Ocean. 📸 (@rory_mullan) #loveireland #ireland #irland #irlanda #irlande #northernireland #ruins #causewaycoast #visitireland #history #castle #discovernorthern #downhillhouse #mussendentemple

There is a colourful history to Youghal bridge. The bridge has linked the two counties of Cork and Waterford since its original construction in 1832. By the early 1900s the timber frames were badly eroded, resulting in weight restrictions. Buses would arrive on one side and passengers had to cross the bridge on foot and board another bus to continue their journey! The bridge finally went under major reconstruction and a new concrete model was reopened in 1963. We think it really adds to the beauty of the Blackwater river! 📸 (@macflymedia) #loveireland #ireland #irland #irlande #irlanda #cork #waterford #bridge #visitireland

County Sligo's Ben Bulben mountain is steeped in centuries of history, fables and legend. Buried at the foot of this formidable peak is one of Ireland’s most treasured poets, WB Yeats. It is said that a 'fairy door' is hidden within the rocky walls of this great summit, and when it's open good weather is sure to follow. Perhaps the fairies have spurred the beautiful misty sunrise seen here... 📸 (@eyeintheskyireland) #loveireland #ireland #irland #irlande #irlanda #sligo #benbulben #sunrise #wildatlanticway #mountain #views #fairy #fable
