Been running more consistently the last 4 weeks to prepare for my 38 miler with 12,000 feet of ascent in March. Just hit 100 miles in those 4 weeks. Can’t believe some people run this much in sub 50 hours 😳. Thanks to Steve Tucker for coaching me through! Steve has run 5 100milers, so I have full confidence in him. #run #trailrun #garmin #fenix5

Had the opportunity to be a captain at the Ragnar Trail Relay at Lake Wawayanda, NJ this weekend. Here’s the reason why some of you saw us running in the middle of the woods at 2am.
What is Ragnar Trail Relay?
In Ragnar Trail Relays, teams of 8 (or 4-member ultra teams) run relay-style on three different single track loops that start and finish at Ragnar Village. Teams run day and night until each member has completed all three trail loops.

From Friday to Saturday, each teammate runs all three loops. Runner 1 runs the Green Loop (hard), then Runner 2 runs the Yellow Loop (harder), Runner 3 runs the Red Loop (really freakin' hard), Runner 4 runs the Green Loop, and so on until every runner has completed the three loops. The total mileage for each runner in the groups of 8 is close to 16 miles. Groups of 4 is double. We had 8

While you are not running, you’re just enjoying the festivities in the village: bonfires, s’mores, coffee, food, beer, and much more. If you like camping and running, this is a perfect event for you.
