Nothing beats dinner made with FRESH Huon Salmon - inspired by the grilled sushi shop number, it’s melt in your mouth deliciousness. And, I didn’t know this before, but @huonsalmon is harvested at night and to order meaning less travel time from Tassie to plate, it makes a huge difference to the quality and flavour. This recipe (see next comment) is oh-so-good warm but can be also chilled and enjoyed as a lunch salad. YUM! #huonsalmon #sp

“Can we pop over in an hour?" Mad dash! I wasn't going to just serve tea... 15 minutes and this lush lemon cheesecake (with raspberry coulis) was ready to be chilled thanks to my @sharp_australia inverter microwave. I am SOOO happy with how the cheesecake turned out, creamy and moist in no time at all - which made me curious about the pre-programmed quick and easy auto recipe menus promising more perfect results like this. It might be that finally I don't have a microwave to just pre-heat my dinner plates in. #ad #sharplivesmart https://www.sharp.net.au/

This afternoon Mia and I hosted a few friends over for a traditional Polish Christmas Eve dinner and a whole lot of laughs and fun! We enjoyed traditional fare of clear beetroot soup with mushroom dumplings for the starter, followed by various fish dishes including herring two ways, poached fish in broth jelly, vegetable salad, mushroom croquettes and more. We listened to and sand Polish carols and watched the little ones excitedly open their presents (yup, Christmas comes early in Poland). 🎄 Wishing everyone a safe, happy and connected Christmas!
Pre-Christmas baking after being away for the renos... I've popped the full recipe for these moreish Gingerbread Spice, Cherry and Chocolate Brownies in the first comment. Ready to go in the oven in 5 minutes thanks to the new @vitamix_aunz Ascent Series blender which I am lucky to have gotten my hands on. 😋🎄 Totally recommend! And the brownies are not bad either... #vitamix

After hours spent rushing from meeting to meeting all over Sydney today, coming home to enjoy precious moments with Mialinka made me so happy. We ventured down to the local Baths - see more on stories and had a wonderful time! 💕 Whilst I couldn’t capture the moments on film, Mia absolutely adored swim-kicking in the water. To compete our staycation experience we ended up ordering fish and salad for dinner and ate it with our sandy hands on the back deck.

We are having a staycation this week. Figured this was so much better than driving 8 hours to Byron with a 14 month old. A lovely new area to explore but still only 15 minutes away from the familiar... We found this place on @airbnbsydney - it’s got a beautiful view, the perfect kitchen for what I need, the most wonderful host and the best kitchen assistant. Okay. I brought that one with me. Have you tried @airbnb ? Do you love it? Hate it? Would like to try? This is my second booking and I’m loving it!
Shooting for @nourish_au today to clear my head, because you know, renovations when tradies don’t turn up for their appointments or call to say they are not SUCK big time. So today I had a cry, a vent and now after creating beautiful food like this for the Asian-themed edition in Feb I feel a lot better. PS if anyone knows a reliable and affordable builder who services the lower north shore in Sydney, let me know. And a tiler! And somewhere where I could get a good discount on an induction stove and rangehood! See, so much to do!

When friends pop in unexpectedly I make my go-to puff pastry tart with almond frangipane and berries. So quick and easy - the recipe is in my new book (link in stories). Today I added some cream cheese to the mix, it was soooo delish! Like a giant Pop Tart only better. 😋
Happy first day of Aussie Summer! I can’t tell you how good it was to have a few of these in my freezer today ☀️ perfection on a stick as styled and shot for @aussiepineapples recently. In other news if a bout of tummy bug wasn’t enough fun this week, now Mishka might have head lice. She’s sweetly asleep now, we’ll tackle the critters in the morning. Have a great weekend everyone!
Life is perfect from where I’m standing. 💕 Nourishing food is just a bonus. The “avocado tartare” made with fermented pickles and, you guessed it, avocado is awesome as an afternoon dippy snack. 🥑 Recipe is in my cookbook - I’ll pop a direct link into stories.

I bought a house!!! 🏡 okay, that’s kind of last week’s news but I want to hear your thoughts on something. I’m getting really excited planning the renos... what are some of the kitchen / bathroom / laundry things you absolutely can’t live without??? Brunching in chicken salad and spicy dip pita wraps while Mia naps.

Bye bye Melbourne! Your @pokedau bowls were awesome and enjoyed in the comfort of our pajamas as we chatted authenticity with the foodnetwork channel on in the background.
It’s been a great weekend in Melbourne - sharing my story, tips for healthy living and recipes at the @mbsfestival - and introducing Mialinka to a few new tastes, textures and cafe experiences including her first Vegemite on toast over at @serotonindealer yesterday. Not to mention her first bite of a custard donut, which turned into her eating almost the entire thing at South Melbs Market (see instastories) she held onto it so tight I couldn’t get it out of her little hands 😂 While I’ll continue to put miso paste on her toast at home, it’s nice to see her enjoying the a classic Aussie brekky spread when out.
Still smiling after late lunch at @serotonindealer earlier today... it might all be thanks to the Smiling Smashed Avocado number I had, how good does it loooook??? 👀
Weekend hangs with Mia in Melbourne, sharing a green smoothie at @yummololaberry smoothie bar yesterday. Excuse my stupid facial expression... Mia was stealing it all from me.
