Taking a pause after some intervals on my favorite hill. This is how I prefer to do Black Friday. #optoutside

7 years on this island and I finally made the hike out to Kaena Point from the Waianae side. Couldn’t get enough of the views! #looktheresaguyfishing

Morning views like this... courtesy of early wakeups and a willingness to run up a few hills!

This past weekend I had the privilege of running @daybreakracing 's Tillamook Burn Trail 50-miler for the second time! The course is challenging and beautiful, the volunteers are amazing, and the event as a whole is just awesome. The added bonus was that I was able to shave 48 minutes off last year's time, coming in at 9:47:33! It was the perfect finish to a fun family vacation in Oregon. Thank you @christophersimons, @shaunasimons and my father-in-law for coming out and spending the weekend with us! 📸: @crystalchanelphoto

Excited to be in Oregon again this year for the Tillamook Burn Trail Run! @daybreakracing Got some fun miles in this morning in Forest Park. Best trail running in a city ever?? To my knowledge, yes.

Today's run view. Found a new hill to run! Nice to see familiar places from a new perspective.

Sunrise sets the Koolau ablaze. The scene during yesterday's long run around Olomana.

This tree... stopped for a few minutes in the middle of yesterday's 21 mile trail run to stand in this spot. Listening, taking in the beauty of this forest, relishing in the stillness.
Shooting today's wedding in the most incredible venue! @crystalchanelphoto #kaneohebay

Spent 19.5 humbling miles this morning circumnavigating Mt. Olomana. Sleep deprivation and dehydration don't make for great runs! No bad days out here though.

Had a great run with @wellnesspt this morning! Took a lap around Olomana for a nice total of 18 miles with 2700+ ft of gain and enjoyed a classic Maunawili sunrise. Nothing like early morning trails!

14 miles of hill reps and 4200 ft of climb this morning! I can honestly say that I love to run hills but I'd be lying if I said it was a pain free endeavor. During the climbs I practice embracing the discomfort. I think about all the good in my life and the things I'm grateful for. The climbs become a space for meditation, mindfulness, and a time to appreciate the ability and freedom to move!
