Here's a close up video of some work with the sternocleidomastoid (SCM) which is the muscle posted previously. It can responsible for radiating head pain and is quite often ignored. To work on this muscle yourself, you can follow along by using your hands to feel along the muscle just as you see me do in the video. Notice in the beginning she lifts her head. This is one of the best ways to get the SCM to pop out. At that point hold it with a pincher grip and feel along the belly of the muscle for tender spots. Hold each spot for about 5-10 seconds then release. Work down towards the heart. Do this for both sides and repeat if needed.
