Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens

🎨We came across this adorable piece of art at the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens.
A Garden Girl made of terra-cotta pots!
She is super cute!
Now I want to make one! ☝️ I can see that fishing line and washers were used to dangle her feet and arms.
🌿🌺🌿On Sunday we went to visit the Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens.
Originally this 21 acres was approved for residential development in 1981 (a 374 residential unit development).

In late 2002 it was then purchased by the City of Port St. Lucie in joint cooperation with St. Lucie County and with grant funding assistance provided by the Florida Communities Trust Land Conservation Program.

The Botanical Garden now protects many communities of ecologically diverse natural plants.

7 acres of mangrove wetlands were preserved along the river.

1.7 miles of sidewalks were constructed offering winding trails showcasing its wide variety of trees, shrubs, and plants.
They are just the cutest 😍❤️ Just a reminder, the website is still down unfortunately but should be back up soon and I can’t wait to show you the new updates! 💫

Hot humid morning for a run. Cooled down at the gardens by the river.
