So this weekend I was wandering around Franklinton shooting pictures. There were three pictures that I was actively looking to "compose". One is a letter for the Lyttle Letter Challenge, and actually is "K" which will get posted later this week. The other two pictures are going to be part of a themed week for my 365 project. I now have 3 of the 7 completed, am both excited and nervous for getting this little sub project going and then seeing how it will be received. But enough about me, because this is really about Bob.

The preceding was to set up the explanation. While in Franklinton, I noticed the brick work on the building that houses 400 West Rich, @400westrich and StrongWater, @strongwatercolumbus and started wondering just how long ago it was all laid, and how it has stood up over the test of time; the care which must have been put into laying those bricks, the hard work, and also about the Pink Floyd song, Another Brick in the Wall, and also along with a quote from Rumi, "Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it." I know, so much knocking around at once, it is a wonder I managed to hold it all.

So I set Bob up on that window sill and snapped the picture, and will work at how that all ties together in my head.

The Pink Floyd song came off the album, "The Wall" which had the theme of being trapped behind a wall and the need to break through/down the wall in order to connect with the rest of humanity.

Rumi's quote has quite a similar feel to me. That we need to look inside ourselves and discover those things we carry with us that stop us from being able to connect with other people, be they prejudices, fears, insecurities, etc. In tearing those "walls" down, we will accept ourselves and others more readily.
