🤢Ridiculously large portions aside, why you overeat is anything but obvious.
📰The headlines yesterday stated the NHS are launching a calorie counting campaign (sigh!) because 50% of us are overeating. Isn't it ironic they also suggest 60% of us are always on a diet too! You see, diets don't work so what's going on!?
✋🏻The thing is overeating may have absolutely nothing to do with a lack of willpower. It can strike at any time - when you find yourself eating for reasons other than satisfying actual physical hunger.
🙏🏻I've always said if only we could all try to learn healthier habits in a stress-free bubble. Stress not only causes sleep disturbances but increased blood sugar levels. Hunger pangs and overeating are often the coping mechanisms people develop to reduce that stress or a host of other factors.
🤓In fact, a super study by @GilesYeo (he's the scientist that presented the brilliant BBC programme Clean Eating: The Dirty Truth with @DeliciouslyElla) demonstrates our blood sugar levels rise when we eat and in an otherwise healthy person, they quickly return to normal.
😳Yet when you're stressed, blood sugar levels can take up to 6 times longer than on a previous, stress-free day. Ultimately, your body thinks it is under attack and releases glucose into your blood to provide energy for your muscles.
🤦🏼‍♀️The same sort of thing happens when you have a bad night's sleep, sleep-deprived people are significantly more likely to overeat than those who slept like a baby!
😴So, one of the first things I would strongly recommend is to try to get a good night's sleep, that means aiming for 8 hours a day if you can!
😇You could also try some exercising, mindfulness, yoga, even gardening. A key thing for me is that you will only benefit if you enjoy it!
👍🏻So, if you're concerned about over-eating, please know that you're only a few simple steps away from getting back to a happier, healthy you.
💚After all, life is never perfect and overeating sometimes is completely natural, we just need to strive to find a balanced eating routine that works for you, and nobody else.

Ne kadar işinize yarar bilmiyorum ama ben Londra'da çok araştırmıştım en güzel acai bowllar nerede diye 🤓Galiba gerçekten birçok yerin acai bowlunu yedim ve şimdi sizle kendi sıralamamı paylaşıyorum 🙏🏼🍓
1- Farm Girl ( @farmgirlcafe ): Geçen sene yeri Notting Hill'deydi. Bu sene bir şubesini daha Carnaby'e açtı. Swetty Betty'nin hemen bir üst katı. Ayrıca liquid gold latte ve avokado tostu mükemmel. Mutlaka gitmeniz gereken bir yer.
2- Viva Acai ( @vivaacai ): Gloucester Road'da inince hemen solunuzda kalıyor. Doğal ve şekerlendirilmiş acai püresi seçeneği var. Peanut butterından coconut flakelerine kadar her ürünü taze ve tatları çok güzel.
3- Juicebaby ( @juicebabyuk ): Chelsea'de yer alıyor. Acai püresinin tadı gerçekten çok güzel ama üzerine her zaman koyulan toppinglerin yanı sıra fıstık fındık tarzı şeyler de koyuyorlar. Ben fındık fıstığı pek yakıştıramadım ama genel olarak tadı harika.
4-Granger&Co ( @grangerandco ): King's Cross'taki şubesine gitmiştim. Porsiyonu çok yeterli olmamakla birlikte üzerine kuru üzüm de koyuyorlar. Ben kuru üzümden nefret ediyorum ama onun haricinde pürenin ve coconut flakelerin tadları çok güzeldi.
