literallyalpacino The film is composed by stunning, long takes, too, so it was well-made and beautifully put together (8/10) 2mon

jennifer_azano These two... Oh man! "Birdman" was awesome. Brilliant. An absolute delight of a movie. I think anyone in the industry, or anyone who has ever acted, or poured their entire heart, soul and wallet into their passion will find it particularly resonate with them. Loved the ideas and themes about humanity, ego, the definition of art and who has the right to judge it, and finally, the idea of "success" and how most live their lives for the applause and approval of others. Also loved the references to technology and that the definition of "making it" these days is going viral. Thought provoking. Excellent acting... I've seriously missed Michael Keaton. Not the guest star on 30 Rock, lead of a small movie we've never heard of Michael Keaton, but the leading man MK that can absolutely carry a film (or play ha. ha). LOVED Ed Norton, thought he was absolutely fantastic, and found he stole almost every scene he was in. I also imagine his characters outlooks on life and art to be in line with his as a human being. Just got that vibe. Also, one of my favorite lines is on the night of their first performance when Mike screams into the audience, telling them to stop living thorough their cell phones and actually have an experience. Awesome. Also loved Emma Stone, Naomi Watts and Zach Galifianakis.... Great casting. I was s bit on the fence about Watts at first, her first few scenes I wasn't sure if I totally believed her and felt some bad acting, but she redeemed herself as the film went on, particularly in a scene in Riggan's dressing room. The dialogue was witty and truthful, and I absolutely LOVED the carefully constructed direction and cinematography. Loved all the handheld and continuous moving shots... It really gave a cool feel to the film and made you feel a part of the characters and their world. I also really appreciated the set design and carefully thought out set pieces that added much dimension to the characters. And finally, the score was AWESOME! The drums were a whole other character and really set the tone. I loved this choice and especially the choice to actually see the drummer inside towards the end. It was a score with attitude that really embodies New York 4mon
