Hudson Christina Johnson
christinanator Ahh, Thursday. The day to look back at the pure delight of this situation. Here we are in Yellowstone last year. Cassandra tried to get Mark to take a photo before other tourists got to where we were. Unfortunately when she yelled "Hurry up!" a sweet old lady walked in front of us and thought she was in trouble. It was a hilarious moment for me. :) 7h

sikhwitit The Gneiss Creek Trail inspires a sensation unlike anything I’ve experienced. Wandering through baby pine forests and across untouched amber meadows, one meets #Nature’s acquaintance in its wild, most awe-inspiring form; but superimposed over that is a hypersensitivity to the presence of bears that call this backcountry home. About 2.5 miles in, I started to encounter piles of #GrizzlyBear scat strewn across the path, the result of consuming 20,000 calories per day ahead of the winter hibernation.

sikhwitit After a night of battering rain that continued into my second day at Yellowstone I broke cover and pressed forward with a solo hike through the Gneiss Creek Bear Management Area. Yellowstone’s #backcountry is one of few remaining wilderness areas where brown and black bears compete for the same habitat; and Rangers informed me that this particular stretch was home to a #GrizzlyBear mother and her cub. They advised that I carry bear spray in a holster and gave me a thorough overview on what to do if confronted by a bear.

robswildlife Hungry black bear in Yellowstone National Park --- please follow me, feel free to tag and share this image. ----- -- I was able to Capture this Very Beautiful Black Bear in Yellowstone National Park digging into this tree for bugs, there was no hole in the tree before he arrived, and within minutes he had a hole large enough to put most of his head inside and reach the bugs inside, as you can see the wood chips flying in the air, he was going to town on this tree. - - - - - If you are interested in a Wildlife Adventure contact me today EpicWildlifeAdventures.com - - RobsWildlife.com
