cgreenwald88 While I know Images didn't make my engagement ring, the owners definitely gave my fiancé some sound advice on how to design a ring that would sweep me off my feet. I am so in love and hope to add some Images jewels to my collection in the future. #imagesforimages #welovelex&shawn @imagesjewelers 2mon

  •   that_service_dog_handler @service_dog_adventures Thank you so much!!! That is such a huge compliment coming from you!!! 6mon
  •   that_service_dog_handler @servicedogwinston Thank you very much!! 6mon
  •   service_dog_adventures @rsdwarrior610 these little buttons can be harder sometimes! You are doing great work, keep it up!! I am going to send you a private message! 6mon
  •   chronically_fabulous Way to go, Sundance! 6mon
  •   carostomp Where can I get my dog trained tone a service dog? 6mon
  •   that_service_dog_handler @carosthomp a service dog first requires a life altering disability. For me, I have a degenerative neurological disorder that limits my mobility. Then, the dog has to do something for you that you cannot do for yourself. Then you have to either apply to a program that provides service dogs, OR you can go through the work of training your own. Service dog training, even if you do it yourself takes thousands of hours, and equally as much money. But you MUST have the life altering disability. The tasks of my service dog include balance/brace/mobility support (those are three separate tasks), deep pressure therapy to calm and reduce very painful leg seizures, wheelchair pulling when I am in my wheelchair, "wheelchair tasks" such as this one, and were are working on new tasks at home now such as "get my......" i.e. phone in case I fall, or medications for any reason I can't get them. I will also be working on tasks for him to be able to hand money/credit card/etc....to cashiers since my disease affects my hands terribly as well. If you aren't disabled, then you don't qualify for a service dog. I get asked all the time "how do I get to take my dog everywhere", and you can't. It's illegal to impersonate a disabled person. Does this help? 6mon
  •   rawr_your_face @how did you get diagnosed? I've been fighting chronic fatigue and joint/ muscle pain for over 10 years my drs don't have a clue and its very aggravating I feel like I am wasting my time with them -_- 5mon
  •   that_service_dog_handler @rawr_your_face my diagnosis was made by a team headed by a hand surgeon. She took all of my medical history into account, and also physical symptoms, and came to the diagnosis of CRPS. My lupus is currently tested by bloodwork, and then will be confirmed by a rheumatologist. Again, based on both physical symptoms and my chief complaints. I see multiple doctors and specialists, and the diagnosis didn't come quickly, or easily, but the more puzzle pieces they fit together, the clearer it became. Does that make sense? 5mon

  •   cavachonabbey Good boy, Sundance! 7mon
  •   surfingblondie I saw the metal plate of a handicap door button for sale on eBay for $13. Really random since my search query was "wheelchair push handle". Anywho, could be an effective training tool! 7mon
  •   that_service_dog_handler Thank you @cavachonabbey and @surfingblondie that's awesome! I am using a "touch target" at the moment, but an actual wheelchair button would be perfect! 7mon
  •   acespoonie I taught Max with an EASY button from Staples. 7mon

  •   myprozachaspaws God. That's just the most precious thing when they stick their all faces through the seatbelt gap to hang out. Adorable pups. :) 7mon
  •   flawlessimperfectionbeauty Hi! I'm so sorry to hear that you have RSD, but I'm glad you have such a friend to help you:) We have two Shih-Tzus at home, and whenever I see all the amazing things your dogs can do, I just look at mine and roll my eyes and laugh- useless!! 3mon
  •   that_service_dog_handler @flawlessimperfectionbeauty Thank you. CRPS has been life changing, but so has having a service dog. My new pup in training has a lot more tasks to learn than my golden. If you have any questions about what a service dog can do, don't hesitate to ask! 3mon
  •   flawlessimperfectionbeauty Oh thank you! I pray I'll get better, but it's so amazing to know these angels are a gift to us if we need them! 3mon

that_service_dog_handler Two days ago, I set up a youcaring fundraiser to see if I could raise funds for a BLD harness. With the help of @thelolaproject community, not only have I met my goal, I surpassed my goal in less than 48 hours!! The support that I received from that community where I am an admin has truly humbled me as a person. It's made me realize how many lives I've touched. Now, I just have to wait for the funds to transfer, measure my boy, and place my order!!! This is truly amazing!!!! #servicedog #serviceanimal #mobilitysupportdog #crps #rsd #CRPSAwareness #RSDAwareness #chronicpain #butyoudontlooksick #assistancedog #disabilityawareness #greatday #legitservicedog #mylove #myrock #mylifeline #servicedogsarenotajoke #tasktrained #welovelex #welovelola ♡♡☆☆★★@thelolaproject ♡♡☆☆★★ 7mon

that_service_dog_handler Another task we've been working on. "On my legs" helps calm extremely painful leg spasms/tremors. For whatever reason, when he's on my legs, the tremors reduce/stop. Task trained legit service dog!! #servicedog #serviceanimal #CRPSAwareness #RSDAwareness #crps #rsd #chronicpain #butyoudontlooksick #assistancedog #disabilityawareness #legitservicedog #mylove #myrock #mylifeline #servicedogsarenotajoke #tasktrained #workinghard #welovelex #welovelola ♡♡☆☆★★@thelolaproject ♡♡☆☆★★ 7mon
  •   that_service_dog_handler Thanks! @sara_and_rossie I love it because it's not a "typical" task. Legitimate though. Ots part of my disability, trained, and something I can't do for myself. :-D My dog is awesome 7mon
  •   that_service_dog_handler *it's 7mon
  •   destinykohl Good boy! I agree when I'm having muscle spasms it really helps when Ty does an "across". I think its a combo of the heat and weight. 7mon
  •   sara_and_rossie Is it like DPT? Rossie does something similar for my tics. And I get muscle spasms late at night that hurt 7mon
  •   that_service_dog_handler I really can't explain why it works or how. I discovered it worked by accident, but since I learned of it, I wanted it to become a trained task 7mon
  •   minaharker007 Cause him is filled with love! Love heals and calms 7mon
  •   kstroess isn't it the best?? Cade learned a "flat" and a "press" we can use the same way. it's my favorite. 7mon
  •   servicecow47 DPT is great for so many things. Sensory overstimulation (autism), anxiety and PTSD, muscle spasms, as well as rsd and other pain disorders. I love it. I've always loved deep pressure because I'm autistic, but it occasionally helps my rsd too. Not quite sure why, but I just know that light touch is the worst. 7mon
