gaybymama After our weekend away I'm catching a train to the city from the country. It makes me pine for a country cottage, a fireplace and more space than the girls know what to do with. What's the secret to a successful country move? Someone please tell me! #viewfromthetrain 2d
  •   petaisaac @gaybymama I agree. They'll love it. Room to run around and explore and find independence is so important. 2d
  •   misslovecage @gaybymama. GC hinterland. I don't have any family but my in laws are on coast so they'll be close. I'll be working from home and we own 2 cafes in Surfers so they're close enough without my wife needing a packed lunch for commute. I think happiness trumps travel. 2d
  •   documentingdelight The secret is to do it 🏼 I love this train ride myself. 80 minutes door to door man! 1d
  •   gaybymama @misslovecage that sounds ideal. Which two cafes? We're on the coast a lot and will check them out 8h
  •   gaybymama @leileh yeah I feel like it's the right thing to do. We keep saying "we need more space!" Like literally more land, more sky, more sunshine. 8h
  •   leileh @gaybymama it changes your whole life, you can really enjoy the little things and stop worrying about traffic and road closures and just stupid stuff that consumes your time. You can enjoy and extra 20 minutes warm in bed because you aren't battling peak hour traffic. Everything is just better! Maybe take a vacation for a week or two to a farm stay kind of place? See if you like it :) 8h
  •   gaybymama @leileh yeah we usually want to go country the most right after a big storm when I can't actually get home. Then public transport really sucks. Whereabouts in the country are you? 7h
  •   leileh @gaybymama I'm in Dubbo, NSW. Middle of nowhere lol 7h
