hikin_jim A #Mariposa backpack from #gossamergear. This photo is noteworthy in that I have gear for ~two~ people in an #ultralight backpack. My daughter and I were quite comfortable with what we carried.

  •   adventurela How often do you use the metal insert or foam sit pad? Been eyeing one of these as my next pack 11h
  •   hikin_jim @adventurela, I pretty much always use the frame. The pack carries so much better with the frame. 11h
  •   hikin_jim The backpad/sitpad always goes with me. I use a 3/4 length pax 11h
  •   hikin_jim Oops. I use a 3/4 length sleep pad, so I use the backpad under my feet when it is cold. It makes a huge difference. @adventurela 11h
  •   hikin_jim I have a discount coupon code if you are interested. 11h
  •   adventurela That is a great solution with the 3/4 sleep pad & the back pad. I feel I would also use the metal stays all the time as well. The weight & construction of that bag seems next level. Ive had an osprey exos 48 a cple years that I've taken all the bells & whistles off of, plus the hood & I realized I should just make the jump soon. 10h
  •   adventurela Non pack related... was Little Jimmy Spring flowing when you were up there? I've never seen it dry, but curious. Cheers on Middle Hawkins summit! Love that out of the way peak 10h
  •   hikin_jim @adventurela, I have an Osprey, but I really like the Gossamer Gear one better. It is really simple, and it's LIGHT. It had held up really well. This was my eighth BP this year. No problems. 10h
