  •   candacebighead crazy! im so glad to be done witb health issues.... well sorta not reallly... my blood is also weird, doesny hold iron.... makes me sleepy. ya im very much like a sloth 2h
  •   abrupt1ns your picture is so great 2h
  •   sarahp994 Hey I'm pretty sure it means the donors blood was tested for a specific antigen. The donor doesn't have the antigen meaning less likely for your body to reject it 2h
  •   hankat27 With dogs who have chronic blood issues we sometimes get multiple units from the same donor-- we use multiple units from the same donor in a particular dog, especially if they've had reactions to cross matched blood in the past. Maybe this is something like that? 2h
  •   kelly.ronahan @hankat27 hmm so maybe I react to those antigens and so they found a donor with out them...? I really have to start asking more questions.... I just go in and give my arm😯 I'm kind of scared to sound needy and nosey... 2h
  •   hankat27 Maybe they found more units that match with a previous donor you haven't had an issue with before. Dogs have 12 blood groups and cats have 3. 2h

erin_renee_ Defiantly could be a lot worse but all my hospital bands and blood transfusion bands from getting diagnosed with an incurable disease a year ago. #ulcerativecolitis #uc #colitis #crohns #crohnsdisease #incurable #chronicillnesses #oneyearanniversary #almost #december30th2013 #raiseawareness #awareness #deadly #blood #bloodtransfusion #transfusion #infusions #thanksforthesupport #findacure #keepmovingforward 2d
  •   sammiejean02 Love you 2d
  •   erin_renee_ @cali_countrygal94 yeah well I'm really looking into surgery. I don't want it but I'm addicted to pain meds horribly but I take them because I'm always in pain. The infusion med I'm on might be working or it's just masking so I have a colonoscopy next month to figure out what's going on. So we will see I just can't seem to get control at all on this thing. @sammiejean02 thanks girl love ya too. 2d
  •   erin_renee_ @cali_countrygal94 I still can't do anything because I'm so uncomfortable I sleep 17hours still it sucks and if that means surgery is gonna give me some relief and give me my life back I'm definitely gonna consider it. 2d
  •   cali_countrygal94 Yeah a scope will make it clear. I hate fasting for those dang things though!! And after I'm not even hungry! Lol. Hopefully you don't have surgery and the infusion is working and you can slowly get off the pain meds 2d
  •   lillyroseblossom Oh wow! My little guy was diagnosed with #uc #ulcerativecolitis in April (age 9). He is currently having a flare up. He needs a blood transfusion. One has been set for Saturday morning. The odd thing is it is a year to the day of his symptoms. He is anemic (due to the blood loss of this #ibd) and has no appetite to make matters worse. Thank The Lord, we started homeschool just in time. I couldn't imagine my little guy dealing with this disease NOT at home :( my heart goes out to you two. I will keep you both in prayer @cali_countrygal94 and @erin_renee_. I'm hoping he doesn't have to be hospitalized yet again :(. Thank you for sharing this insightful post. I showed my kid this, and he was like "no way, I don't want to have to be hospitalized/have blood transfusion that many times! 2d
  •   erin_renee_ @lillyroseblossom yeah my uc took a long time for them to catch they kept wanting me to be pregnant but I wasn't and I kept telling them that. By the time I was put into the hospital I was almost dead from the dehydration and blood loss. I was a direct admit from a colonoscopy that didn't even happen because I was so sick they were to afraid to pop anymore ulcers and possibly kill me. I had 2 blood transitions the first day and ended up being in the hospital 21days and lost a total of 45 pounds. I've been in the hospital 6 other times since the first admission this year. I'm on a medication that's called Entyvio and it seems to be working but we won't know till my colonoscopy next month. But thanks for your support tell your son I'll be praying for him I know how he feels for sure. 2d
  •   cali_countrygal94 It's easier to get under control earlier on in a diagnosis and at younger ages. I was very fortunate to get diagnosed quickly and get under control. @lillyroseblossom make sure your son takes his medication cause that was a struggle for me growing up and I relapsed twice and had to be increased on medications both times it's something that's very important cause we are all stuck with it till a cure can be found and I learned that the hard way. Best wishes to you and your boy! 2d
  •   lillyroseblossom Thank you @cali_countrygal94 - that was exactly what the gi told my son yesterday. His dr ordered a prometheus test a couple weeks ago, and the dr said there was no reading of the drugs (the mercap.) So, that's what could have brought on this flare. I was like uhm kid, c'mon! So here we are!? Thank you for your warm wishes and sharing your knowledge! Blessings to you and yours! 2d
