fizzy_lifting_drink @bret.furlong and I decided to take a detour and swing by Evans City Cemetery on our way home from vacation. Evans City Cemetery is the filming location for the original Night of the Living Dead film. The most famous grave from the movie is the grave of Nicholas Kramer (seen in this pic)...it was his gravestone that Barbara hid behind as the zombie wrestled with her brother, Johnny. 11mon

chad_n_fokus I was able to step back into the zombie zone this trip. It's been a long time since I've had the opportunity to explore anything abandoned like this. I must say I didn't waste anytime here. If the overall spooky-ness of the place wasn't enough to keep you away the cold was. Foolishly I left my hat and gloves in the car in subzero temperatures compounded with double digit negative windchill temps. The walk from the road to the location was several hundred yards and I hadn't even covered half the distance before I was regretting my lack of cold weather gear. Stubbornly I carried on, feeling my nose, ears and fingers grow colder and begin to throb. These places are so interesting. So alone. So intriguing. And I can't keep away.....or "keep out" as is commonly posted. 1y

madeemayflower Just give me time. You know your desires and mine. So wrap my flesh in ivy and in twine...for I must be well. 2y
