It has Swiss chard celery kale cucumber ginger and lemon. It tastes sorta like gazpacho. #juice #hike #cleanse #swisschard #kale #detox #cleanjuice #nofear 4h

about.that.exposure Red Swiss Chard, anyone? Some may have noticed that I have been uploading "food" shots that involve colored backgrounds and the "food" in its raw, untouched state. While I don't really consider this to be food photography, I will be calling it that anyway. So, I have undertaken this project which will allow me to explore the photographic qualities of food items: shape, form, texture, colour, reflectivity, translucency, etc. This is red Swiss chard. The leaf is slightly thicker than spinach, and is fairly reflective, calling for the use of a polarizing filter. The stem and veins are a rich red, making a great contrast against the deep green of the leaf. It almost looks as if it's feeding blood to the leaf. Lighting: 1 gelled green flash on background, 1 bare flash behind leaf shining into it, 1 softbox beside leaf to the right. #aboutthatexposure 4h
