elifinlay Day 7 #yogastrengthandgrace - In the wise movements of @itallflows I give you a rolling plank. This is one of those movements that the first few times I did it I didn't understand. Now I love it because it's a perfect shoulder and spine warm up while gently engaging your obliques. Also hello big mountains! This has been my view for the past three months and while it's so freaking beautiful it furthers the fact that I'm a water creature through and through.

I'm loving this yoga challenge if for nothing else that it forces me to post things online of what's happening in my life. I have plenty of friends that think that there is a level of vanity in selfies, and while I agree to an extent this practice has reconfirmed that I'm a visual communicator. Communication can be so hard sometimes, so I encourage you to communicate in whatever way you know how with the understanding that you only become a better communicator with practice.

landonfaulkner_ I'm full of mixed emotions this morning while scrolling through photos from this past week in Chamonix and the surrounding areas. It feels like a life changing experience yet I'm not sure yet what it has changed in my life specifically. I feel the same, yet there is something different as well.

There is something about running internationally, in a large race alongside 1200 other people through small towns, villages and never ending mountains with their breathtaking views that leaves you feeling empty in a way. If you've ever ran an ultra you may have experienced the letdown that sometimes occurs after a race, and while this feeling is similar it's not the same.

There is part of me that longs to connect with the mountains like I did in France everyday: to cry at the beauty of seeing cows in the high mountains grazing with their large bells ringing like bells from the heavens, and the simple life of those living peacefully and kindly in the mountains. And now, sitting on a train, back to the hustle bustle of a city, my experiences last week seem almost surreal. It feels amazing to be back, to hug my wife and girls, to watch them sleep in the early morning hours, to feel at home again. And maybe the empty spot that seems to be there isn't so much a longing for a place, but a way of life. A life of simplicity, of meaning, of beauty. #makeadventure
